COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL RESOLUTION MADE ON 16TH DAY OF MARCH, 1917.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows :— That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £400, authorized to be raised by the Cook County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for metalling part of Taurau Valley Road from the centre of the boundary of Section 4 to the centre of the boundary of Section 8, Block XII, Patutahi S.D., the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two-farthings in the £l upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Taurau Valley Special-rating District, comprising Sections 7, 8, 9, and 3A, Block XII, Patutahi Survey District ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be four pounds ten shillings per cent.

UNDER THE MINING ACT, 1908.
To the Warden of the Hauraki Mining District at Thames.
PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1908, the undersigned, Zeehan Consolidated (Limited), of Auckland, Miners, hereby applies for a license for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Precise time of marking out privilege applied for : 26th February, 1917, at 3.30 p.m.
Date and number of miner's right : 6th March, 1917; No. 103626.
