THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Patriotic and Wounded Soldiers Fund to transfer the said fund held by such trustees, entitled “The Hawera District Patriotic and Wounded Soldiers Fund,” to the Taranaki Provincial War Relief Association (Incorporated): And whereas the Governor in Council is satisfied that such fund can be administered by the Taranaki Provincial War Relief Association (Incorporated) for substantially the same purposes as those for which that fund was established: And whereas it is considered desirable to consent to such transfer:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the transfer of the fund held by the said trustees, entitled “The Hawera District Patriotic and Wounded Soldiers Fund,” to the Taranaki Provincial War Relief Association (Incorporated).

Prohibiting all Private Alienation of certain Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this second day of April, 1917.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. H. HERRIES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienations of the Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Apportionment of Representation on Hospitals and Charitable Aid Boards.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this second day of April, 1917.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. H. HERRIES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS from time to time, by Order in Council made under the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, apportionments have been made in regard to the representation of contributory local authorities on Hospital and Charitable Aid Boards: And whereas it is desirable or necessary in some instances to revise such apportionments:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, doth hereby alter the apportionment of representation of certain of such contributory districts in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto, and all previous Orders in Council relating thereto are hereby revoked in so far as they affect the apportionment of such contributory districts; and doth hereby direct that the regulations made in the Orders in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and the twelfth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, shall apply as if incorporated in this Order in Council, with the following exceptions:—

(a.) The date of the first election of an additional representative for Hamilton Borough shall be Wednesday, the twenty-fifth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

(b.) The date of the first election of representatives for Auckland City; the combined districts of Mount Albert Borough, Newmarket Borough, Mount Eden Borough, Onehunga Borough, and Ellerslie Town District; Te Awamutu Borough, Cambridge Borough, Morrinsville Town District, and Te Aroha Borough, shall be Wednesday, the twenty-fifth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen; and in the meantime the representatives of the districts or combined districts in which they were grouped, or out of which they have been created, shall be deemed to be the representatives of the aforesaid combined district.

(c.) The first election of representatives for the combined district of Waipa County and Ngaruawahia Town District shall take place on the date of the next ordinary general election of members of the County Council, and the present representatives of Waipa County shall continue in office until that date.

(d.) The principal local authority in each of the combined districts in the Schedule hereto shall be that indicated by the letter (p).
