Native Land Act, 1909.
REGULATION No. 52.
THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land
District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners
of Paeroa 2r 3 Block is summoned and will be held, in
pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909,
at Wairoa on Wednesday, the 18th day of April, 1917, at 10
o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the
following proposed resolution :—
“ That the Paeroa No. 2r 3 Block be sold to Maud Edith
te Urupu, of Mohaka, spinster, for a sum equal to the present
unimproved Government valuation of the same, such valua-
tion to be ascertained by a special valuation of same ; and,
further, on confirmation and completion of the sale herein
the memorandum of lease granted by the Tairawhiti Maori
Land Board of the said block shall be revoked and made
void and of no effect.”

REGULATION No. 52.
THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land
District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners
of Hereheretau 2a Block is summoned and will be held, in
pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909,
at Wairoa on Thursday, the 19th day of April, 1917, at 10
o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the
following proposed resolution :—
“ That an offer made by the Crown to purchase the land
or any part thereof shall be accepted.”

Native Land Act, 1909.
REGULATION No. 52.
THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land
District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners
of Hereheretau B 2 Block is summoned and will be held,
in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909,
at Wairoa on Thursday, the 19th day of April, 1917, at 10
o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering
the following proposed resolutions :—
“ (1.) That the portion of the said Hereheretau B 2 Block
between the lagoon and the sea be leased to Mako Carroll for
twenty-one years, with a right of renewal for a further twenty-
one years, or compensation for improvements if renewal is
not taken.
“ (2.) That the said Hereheretau B 2 Block, or part thereof,
be leased to Patu te Rito, of Whakaki, for a term of twenty-
one years at a rental equal to 5 per cent. per annum of the
present Government valuation of the said land, together with
the right to a renewal for a further term of twenty-one years
at a rental equal to 5 per cent. per annum of the then unim-
proved Government valuation of the said land, and also the
right to compensation for all improvements of a permanent
character.
“ (3.) That a lease of the Whakaki Lagoon, together with
about 200 acres of the land adjoining thereto, as approxi-
mately shown in the plan hereto attached, containing in all
about 1,200 acres, be granted to Me te Rauna Hape, of
Wairoa, for the term of twenty-one years at the yearly rental
of 5 per cent. on the present valuation, with right to com-
pensation for improvements or to a renewal for the further
term of twenty-one years at the yearly rental of 5 per cent.
on the then unimproved Government valuation of the said
lagoon and land ; in the alternative,
“ That a lease be granted to Me te Rauna Hape of the said
lagoon only, containing about 1,000 acres.
“ (4.) That a lease of the said Hereheretau B 2 Block (less
the area of Whakaki Lake) be granted to the undersigned
Watene Huka and Teotaea Mataitai for the term of twenty-
one years at the yearly rental of 5 per cent. on the present
Government valuation, with right to compensation for im-
provements or to a renewal for the further term of twenty-
one years at the yearly rental of 5 per cent. on the then
unimproved Government valuation of the said land.”

of Hereheretau B 7 will be held, in pursuance of Part
XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Wairoa on Thursday,
the 19th day of April, 1917, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon,
for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolu-
tion :—
“ That the said Hereheretau B 7 Block, or part thereof,
be leased to Pora Hakers, of Whakaki, for a term of twenty-
one years at a rental equal to 5 per cent. per annum of the
present Government valuation of the said land, together with
the right to a renewal for a further term of twenty-one years
at a rental equal to 5 per cent. per annum of the then unim-
proved Government valuation of the said land, and also the
right to compensation for all improvements of a permanent
character.”

pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at
Nuhaka on Tuesday, the 24th day of April, 1917, at 10
o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the
following proposed resolution :—
“ That a lease of the said Nuhaka 2d 2r 6 Block be given
to Mita Mihingare, of Nuhaka, aboriginal Native, for a term
of twenty-one years at a rental of not less than 5 per centum
of the present Government valuation of the said land, to-
gether with the right to a renewal for a further term of
twenty-one years at a rental equal to 5 per centum of the
then Government unimproved valuation of the said land, or
with the right to compensation for improvements in the
event of the renewal not being taken.”

suance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at
Nuhaka on Tuesday, the 24th day of April, 1917, at 10
o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the
following proposed resolution :—
“ That the Opoho 3c 2 Block be sold to Mary Vaughan,
wife of Fred Vaughan, of Wairoa, sheep-farmer, at the
Government valuation of the land.”
