Revoking Part of a Proclamation taking Land for a Further Portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Pongakawa
and Otamarakau Sections), and for Road-diversions in connection therewith.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, it is enacted that if at any time after the issue or making of any Proclamation taking land under the Public Works Act, 1908, and before the payment or award of any compensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is found that the land or any part thereof is not required for the purpose for which it was taken, or that any error in form or substance exists in or in relation to that Proclamation, or the making or gazetting thereof, the Governor may, by a subsequent Proclamation gazetted, revoke the former Proclamation, either wholly or so far as he thinks necessary :
And whereas it is found that part of the land taken for a further portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Pongakawa and Otamarakau Sections), and for road-diversions in connection therewith, by a Proclamation made under the Public Works Act, 1908, dated the twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen (hereinafter termed "the said Proclamation"), and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 4, pages 13 and 14, of the eleventh day of the following month, is incorrectly described :
And whereas compensation in respect of the taking of the said land has not been paid or awarded :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the said Proclamation as affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land incorrectly described :-
FOR RAILWAY.
2 acres 2 roods 22 perches, portion of Tahunaroa No. 2 ; Block IV ; sheet No. of plan, 12 ; coloured purple.
FOR ROAD-DIVERSION.
2.3 perches, portion of Crown land; Block II; sheet No. of plan, 7 ; coloured yellow.
Situated in Waihi South Survey District. (S.O. 18770.) In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39532 deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Proclaiming a Watercourse in the Land District of Auckland, together with its Tributaries, to be Watercourses for the Deposit of Tailings.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and twenty-six of the Mining Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), it is enacted that on application in that behalf the Governor may from time to time, by Proclamation, constitute and set apart the whole or any part of any water-course to be a watercourse into which may be discharged any tailings, debris, and waste matter produced by or resulting from mining operations carried on under the said Act, and in which, or on the banks of which, mining operations may be lawfully carried on :
And whereas application as aforesaid in respect of the watercourse described in the Schedule hereto was duly notified and gazetted, as provided by the said Act, on the date set out in the description of the watercourse in the said Schedule :
And whereas His Excellency the Governor has decided to exercise the powers conferred upon him by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby constitute and set apart the watercourses described in the Schedule hereto to be watercourses into which may be discharged any tailings, debris, and waste waters produced by or resulting from mining operations carried on under the said Act, and in which or on the banks of which mining operations may be lawfully carried on; and I do hereby further prescribe that this Proclamation shall take effect on and from the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
THAT stream, known as the Te Puhoe Stream, situated in the Auckland Land District, which flows south-westerly from its source in the southern part of Block XI, Hastings Survey District, to the Firth of Thames, a distance of about fifteen miles ; and also the several tributaries thereof. (Date of gazetting, 27th July, 1916.)

Altering Representation of certain Combined Districts on the Auckland Harbour Board and appointing Principal Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this nineteenth day of March, 1917.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN-COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section twelve of the Harbours Amendment Act, 1910 (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), it is enacted that the creation, abolition, merger, union, division, or other alteration of any constituent or combined district shall not in itself have any operation so as to effect the then existing membership of the Board, and that the Governor may from time to time by Order in Council; whenever in his opinion it becomes necessary or expedient so to do, make such provision with respect to the representation of any part of any constituent or combined district as he thinks fit :
And whereas the County of Waipa and the Boroughs of Frankton and Cambridge were made a combined district for the election of one member, and the Counties of Raglan and Waikato and the Borough of Hamilton were made a combined district for the election of one member of the Auckland Harbour Board:
And whereas the Borough of Frankton and the Borough of Hamilton have become one united borough by the name of the Borough of Hamilton, and it is necessary to make provision for the representation of the districts hereinbefore mentioned on the Auckland Harbour Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that
