in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the said Proclamation as affects twenty decimal eighty-three perches and one rood two decimal two perches (shown coloured green on the plan marked W.R. 24441, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington), such land being part of the land mentioned in the Schedule to the said Proclamation.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road near Cameron’s in the Grey County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Greymouth–Hokitika Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the County of Grey, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:
Now, therefore I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Grey County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 3 acres 2 roods 30·8 perches.
Portion of railway reserve (S.O. 1745), Block III, Waimea Survey District, Grey County.
In the Westland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 21273, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured sienna, bordered green.

Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 368 of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-eight of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided, inter alia, that the Crown may purchase any Native land in pursuance of a resolution of the assembled owners passed and confirmed in accordance with Part XVIII of the said Act, and on the resolution being adopted by the Native Land Purchase Board it shall become a contract of purchase as between the Crown and all persons who are the owners of the land; and the Governor may by Proclamation, at any time after the contract of purchase has been so made, declare that the land so purchased is vested in His Majesty the King, and it shall vest accordingly, and shall become Crown land:
And whereas a resolution was passed by a meeting of assembled owners, and duly confirmed by the Waiariki District Maori Land Board, that the land set out in the Schedule hereto be sold to the Crown:
And whereas the Native Land Purchase Board duly considered and adopted the resolution:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and sixty-eight of the said Act, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be vested in His Majesty the King and to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in Blocks II and III, Whangaparaoa Survey District, being portion of the Whangaparaoa No. 1b Block, and containing by admeasurement 150 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north and north-west generally by a road 754, 553·82, 713·12, 527·33, 1198·38, 524·54, 2081·05, and 1485·37 links; towards the north-east and south-east generally by other part of the said Whangaparaoa No. 1b Block, 1795·83, 440·69, 198·93, 245·08, 496·7, 326·25, 421·6, 192·21, 332·36, 335·24, 219·67, 259·88, 215·08, and 283·3 links; towards the south by part of the aforesaid block, 3298·06 links; towards the west by a road, 1357·7 links; again towards the south by the crossing of the last-mentioned road and part of the Whangaparaoa No. 1b Block aforesaid, 3002·6 links; and again towards the north-west generally by high-water mark of the Bay of Plenty: save and except a road which intersects the hereinbefore-described area: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the Head Office, Lands and Survey Department, Wellington, and thereon edged red (Auckland Plan, 19457).
