ERRATA.
With reference to the notification published in the N.Z. Gazette No. 168, of the 15th November, 1917, relating to Lieutenant Selwyn Joyce, Unattached List (b), General List, for the word “Lieutenant” read “2nd Lieutenant.”
The embarkation of the undermentioned officers having been deferred, their names are accordingly deleted from the notices which appeared in Gazettes as shown hereunder:—

THE following result of the election of a member of the Dunedin Fire Board by fire-insurance companies has been reported to the Minister of Internal Affairs, and is notified in accordance with the rules made under the Fire Brigades Act, 1908.

Arrangements for First Election, &c., Oaonui Irrigation District.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint
ARTHUR O’BRIEN, Esquire,
of Opunake, to be Returning Officer and person to prepare the roll for the first election of members of the Board of the Oaonui Irrigation District, County of Egmont, as constituted under the Land Drainage Act, 1908; also to appoint Saturday, the 22nd day of December, 1917, to be the day, and the Cheese-factory, Arawhata Road, within the said district, to be the place, for holding such first election; also to appoint Friday, the 28th day of December, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, to be the time, and the office of the Parihaka Road Board to be the place, for holding the first meeting of members of the Board so elected.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order merging the Maungatawhiri Road District in the County of Franklin.
IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 31 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Franklin County Council, on the petition of a majority of the ratepayers of the Maungatawhiri Road District, resolves by way of special order that the said Maungatawhiri Road District be merged in the County of Franklin, and the Board thereof abolished.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Franklin was hereunto affixed this 28th day of November, 1917, in the presence of—

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Hauraki Drainage Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

HAURAKI DRAINAGE BOARD.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Hauraki Drainage District was taken on the 1st day of December, 1917, on the proposal of the Hauraki Drainage Board to borrow the sum of £5,000 for the purpose of constructing drainage-works.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 102, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 8. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
