HIS Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of section 48 of the Land Act, 1908, approved of meetings of the Westland Land Board being held at the principal Land Office, Hokitika, during the year 1918 at 2 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 16th January, 20th February, 20th March, 17th April, 22nd May, 19th June, 17th July, 21st August, 18th September, 23rd October, 20th November, and 18th December.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of section 48 of the Land Act, 1908, approved of meetings of the Taranaki Land Board being held during the year 1918 at the principal Land Office, New Plymouth, at 10 o’clock a.m. on Wednesday, 23rd January, 27th February, 27th March, 24th April, 22nd May, 26th June, 24th July, 28th August, 25th September, 23rd October, 27th November, and 18th December.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and by the regulations made on the 12th May, 1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 21st May, 1914, the following officer, at the address set against his name, is hereby appointed a Transmitting and Receiving Officer for the purpose of dealing with all notices by telegraph sent under the said Act or regulations, and of signing such certificates in relation to the service of any such notices as are required or authorized to be signed or given under the said Act or the regulations aforesaid:—

Prohibition of Delivery of Postal Packets, &c.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the persons and firms whose names and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in a fraudulent undertaking, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of any of the said persons or firms shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to any of the said persons or firms (either by their own or any fictitious or assumed name), or to the manager, secretary, or other officer of any of the said firms, or addressed to either of the addresses in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Alterations to the Scale of Fares, Rates, and Charges in Force upon the Tauranga to Opotiki Section, East Coast Main Trunk Railway.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 11 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, I, William Fraser, the Minister of Public Works, do hereby order and declare that the regulations, scale of fares, rates, and charges for passengers and goods, and the conditions on which passengers and goods will be carried on the Tauranga to Opotiki Section of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway, prior to its being opened for traffic under the Government Railways Act, 1908, made on the 8th day of August, 1917, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 16th August, 1917, are hereby altered by including therein the alterations made in the scale of fares, rates, and charges in force upon the New Zealand Government Railways, as published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 22nd November, 1917, so far as they affect the parts of the handbook referred to in Part I of the Schedule to the above-recited notice of the 8th day of August, 1917; and clause (5) of the said Part I shall accordingly be read as if the words “and the 22nd November, 1917,” were inserted after the words “the 19th April, 1917.” And I do further order and declare that such alterations shall come into force on the 17th day of December, 1917.
