THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands, who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such lands, must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty-two days from the first publication of this notice, to the Masterton Borough Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

RESOLUTION.
THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Gore Racing Club at a meeting held on the 9th day of October, 1917, at Gore, with a recommendation that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. Hugh McIntyre moved, “That it be and hereby is resolved that such regulations be adopted, and that the Chairman be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.”
The motion was seconded by Mr. E. A. Pigeon, and carried.
The following are the regulations above referred to:—
GORE RACING CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)
In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf, the Gore Racing Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the freehold lands of the said club situate at or near Gore and set apart for racing purposes, and known as the Gore Racecourse, while the same is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing clubs,” and “race meetings” shall have the meanings ascribed to them by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the said racecourse while the same is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings, namely,—
(a.) Bookmakers.
(b.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference.
(c.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
The foregoing regulations of the Gore Racing Club were made and adopted by the said club at its meeting held on the 9th day of October, 1917, and signed by—

RESOLUTION.
THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Gore Trotting Club at a general meeting held on the 8th day of September, 1917, at Gore, and the same were passed with a view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. Duncan MacAra proposed, “That it be and hereby is resolved that such regulations be adopted, and that the Chairman be authorized to sign same in authentication thereof.”
Seconded by Mr. Hugh McIntyre, and carried.
The following are the regulations above referred to:—

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 (2) of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this twenty-fourth day of November, 1917, cancelled the registry of the Loyal Queen of the West Lodge, branch of the Southland District of the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows Friendly Society, Register No. 64, held at Wallace-town, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

In the estate of ERNEST THEOBALD, formerly of Pukeokohu, Farmer, and late a Trooper in the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces on Active Service.
PURSUANT to an order of His Honour Mr. Justice Hosking, issued out of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Wellington on the 16th day of November, 1917, notice is hereby given that all creditors and others having claims against the above estate are hereby required to send them in, with particulars, to Messrs. Menteath and Ward, Barristers and Solicitors, Ballance Street, Wellington, on or before the 1st day of January, 1918.
