NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF COMPANY.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the affidavit and application of WILLIAM GEORGE WHITE and GEORGE SYME, two of the shareholders of the Hawera Town Hall Company (Limited).

I HEREBY notify that, no objection to such application having been made and lodged with me, as by the said Act required, I do now declare such company to be dissolved. Dated at New Plymouth this 26th day of November, 1917.

In the matter of E. A. TATTERSFIELD AND COMPANY (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at the registered office of the company, No. 10 Dowling Street, Dunedin, on the 25th day of October, 1917, the following special resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said company also duly convened and held at the same place on the 12th day of November, 1917, the following resolution was duly confirmed:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily.”

And at such last-mentioned meeting CHARLES FISHER JOHNSON, of Dunedin, Accountant, was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of the winding-up.

WAIPUKURAU JOCKEY CLUB.

REGULATIONS.

(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Waipukurau Jockey Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to the said club’s racecourse situated at Waipukurau, owned by the said club, and situated at Waipukurau, and known as the Waipukurau Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

  1. In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

  2. The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the Waipukurau Jockey Club’s Racecourse while the same is being used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely,—

(a.) Bookmakers, bookmakers’ clerks, betting agents, and layers of starting-prices, and all persons who have been guilty of any malpractice or dishonourable conduct in connection with racing or betting, or have been warned off any racecourse by any racing club.

(b.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference.

(c.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.

The foregoing regulations were adopted at a duly constituted meeting of the Waipukurau Jockey Club held at Waipukurau on Monday, the 30th July, 1917.

GEORGE NASH MILK-DISTRIBUTING COMPANY (LIMITED).

(A Private Company registered under the Companies Act, 1908.)

AT a general meeting held on the 2nd day of November, 1917, the following resolution was passed, and the minute-book signed by all the shareholders in the company:—

“That the George Nash Milk-distributing Company (Limited), having disposed of its business, be wound up voluntarily; and that Mr. ARTHUR JAMES PETHERICK, Public Accountant, of Wellington, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the company.”

KIRIKIRIROA ROAD BOARD.

RUAURA SPECIAL-RATING AREA.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Kirikiriroa Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a supplementary loan of £100, authorized to be raised by the Kirikiriroa Road Board, under section 18 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of the completion of the roads in the Ruakura Special-rating Area, being ten per cent. of the original loan of £1,000 authorized to be raised by the said Kirikiriroa Road Board for roading purposes in the Ruakura Special-rating Area, as gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette on the 11th day of June, 1914, at page 2425, the Kirikiriroa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Ruakura Special-rating Area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first days of February and August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly made and passed at a meeting of the Kirikiriroa Road Board held on Monday, the 5th day of November, 1917.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between ROBERT HAROLD ALLAN and JOSEPH HUTCHINSON WALKER, carrying on business as Paperhangers, &c., at Whangarei, under the style or firm of “Allan and Walker,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 17th day of November, 1917. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by Mr. J. H. WALKER, who will continue to carry on the said business in his own name.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between F. G. WORRALL and A. E. WORRALL and T. F. M. ANDERSON, carrying on business under the name or style of “Worrall Bros. and Anderson,” General Blacksmiths and Coachbuilders, &c., has been dissolved by mutual consent, Mr. F. G. Worrall retiring from the business as from the 1st day of November, 1917. The business will be carried on as heretofore, under the name of “Worrall and Anderson,” by Mr. A. E. WORRALL and Mr. T. F. M. ANDERSON, at Hinemoa Street, Rotorua.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and their amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Masterton Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, and all other Acts enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, drainage works; and for the purpose of such public works the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situate in the Council
