Major (temp. Lieut.-Colonel) E. H. Orr relinquishes the temporary rank of Lieut.-Colonel. Dated 4th August, 1917.
Captain (temp. Major) E. C. Parry relinquishes the temporary rank of Major. Dated 4th August, 1917.
Lieutenant M. B. Forgie was tried by General Court-martial on 25th July, 1917, found guilty of being in possession of a camera contrary to G.R.O. No. 464, and sentenced to take rank and precedence in the N.Z.E.F. as if his appointment bore date of 25th July, 1917, and to be severely reprimanded.

CANTERBURY REGIMENT.
Lieut.-Colonel G. A. King, D.S.O., N.Z. Staff Corps, is transferred from N.Z. Pioneer Battalion with seniority next below Colonel the Hon. G. J. Smith, and appointed to command a battalion. Dated 7th August, 1917.
Captain L. J. Gibbs is transferred from N.Z. Pioneer Battalion, and remains seconded for duty as N.Z. Divisional Salvage Officer. Dated 12th August, 1917.
