Major (temp. Lieut.-Colonel) Ernest Edward Porritt, M.B., M.S., F.R.C.S., Edin., New Zealand Medical Corps, relinquishes his appointment as a member of a Special District Medical Board, and the temporary rank of Lieut.-Colonel whilst so employed. Dated 9th October, 1917.
Lieut.-Colonel Philip Oswald Andrew, New Zealand Medical Corps, is appointed Assistant Director of Medical Services, Auckland Military District, vice Major (temp. Lieut.-Colonel) Alfred George Talbot. Dated 1st October, 1917.

Lieutenant Hugh Price Rainger Caughey, 3rd (Auckland) Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own), relinquishes his appointment as Area Officer, No. 1 Group, Auckland. Dated 8th October, 1917.
NEW ZEALAND EXPEDITIONARY FORCE TRAINING-CAMPS.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Peter Bain Henderson, M.C., New Zealand Staff Corps, is appointed Machine-gun Instructor, Featherston Camp, and retains the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 24th August, 1917.
Lieutenant Henry Delamore Stride, Unattached List (b), is granted the temporary rank of Captain whilst employed as Mounted Rifles Instructor, Featherston Camp. Dated 8th October, 1917.
Honorary Lieutenant Lewis Alfred Clements, N.Z. Permanent Staff, is granted the temporary rank of Captain whilst employed as Assistant Camp Quartermaster, Featherston Camp. Dated 8th October, 1917.
Lieutenant Guy Campion Felton, 5th (Wellington) Regiment, is granted the temporary rank of Captain, and is temporarily attached to the N.Z. Army Pay Department, whilst acting as Camp Paymaster, Trentham. Dated 3rd August, 1917.
Sergeant-major Francis Edward Browne, New Zealand Temporary Staff, is appointed Inspector of Works under the Director of Railways and Works, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant whilst so employed. Dated 10th October, 1917.

Lieutenant Victor Rogers, D.S.O., to be Captain under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 29th December, 1916.

Lieutenant William Lucre, N.Z. Expeditionary Force, is struck off the strength, with effect from 10th November, 1917, and is absorbed into the Establishment with his original rank and seniority therein—viz., Lieutenant, as from the 7th July, 1916 (vide N.Z. Gazette No. 139, of the 6th September, 1917).
CANTERBURY BRIGADE AMMUNITION COLUMN.
Lieutenant Robert Charles Wickens to be Captain, under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 30th December, 1916.

Expeditionary Force, is struck off the strength, with effect from 14th October, 1917, and is absorbed into the Establishment with his original rank and seniority therein—viz., Lieutenant, as from the 28th August, 1913 (vide N.Z. Gazette No. 43, of the 30th April, 1914).

Captain Frank Percival Osmond-Smith (Reserve of Officers) is temporarily attached. Dated 19th February, 1915.
NEW ZEALAND FORCES MOTOR SERVICE CORPS.
Lieutenant Stanley Carr, N.Z. Expeditionary Force, is struck off the strength, with effect from 10th November, 1917, and is absorbed into the Establishment with his original rank and seniority therein—viz., Lieutenant, as from the 23rd November, 1914 (vide N.Z. Gazette No. 1, of the 7th January, 1915).
NEW ZEALAND MEDICAL CORPS.
The Christian names of Captain James Henry Crawshaw are as now described, and not as stated in the N.Z. Gazette No. 52, of the 22nd March, 1917.

Eldon Munro Litchfield, M.R.C.S. Eng., L.R.C.P. Lond., to be temporary Captain. Dated 12th October, 1917.
Lieutenant Thomas William Maben is granted the temporary rank of Captain whilst employed as Adjutant and Quartermaster on H.M.N.Z. Hospital Ship “Maheno.” Dated 1st October, 1917.
