Declaring Portion of Miroahuiac-Matiere Road, in the Ohura County, to be a County Road.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of October, 1917.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of the Miroahuiac-Matiere Road, in the Taranaki Land District, Ohura County, commencing at the county boundary near the north-western corner of Section 1, Block VII, Aria Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction, adjoining or passing through Section part 10 and Section 12, Block III, and Sections 1 and 4, Block VII, Aria Survey District, to its junction with the Pirere Road; being a distance of two miles more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43047, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

ALL that portion of the Miroahuiac-Matiere Road, in the Taranaki Land District, Waitomo County, commencing at its junction with the Kiekie Road at Aria Township, and proceeding thence generally in an easterly and then south-easterly direction through or adjoining part Aria Township, Sections 1, 2, 4, 3, 5, part No. 1a No. 2b and Aorangi Block, Sections 6 and 7, Blocks IX and X, Totoro Survey District; Sections 13, 1, 2, 4, 11, 8, and part 10, Block III, Aria Survey District; and terminating at the county boundary near the north-western corner of Section 1, Block VII, Aria Survey District; and being a distance of 8 miles 40 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43047, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Kawhia Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of October, 1917.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain :

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the fifth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and ten, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Kawhia Domain :

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen :

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

JAMES KENNEDY NEWTON,
THEODORE FREDERICK GIBBONS,
ARTHUR EDWARD LANGLEY,
GEORGE GRENVILLE JONATHAN,
GEORGE HENRY CHASE,
WALTER SAMUEL MORGAN,
FRANK GROVE, and
JOHN DENNIS JACK

to be the Kawhia Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Tuesday, the ninth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Town Board Office, Kawhia, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

KAWHIA DOMAIN, KAWHIA COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Section 1 of Block XI, Township of Kawhia, and Section 1 of Block X, Kawhia North Survey District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 0 roods 37 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north generally by Kawhia “S” No. 2b Block and the Kawhia “S” No. 2a Block, 302.4, 484.6, [108.3, 102.3, 157, 116.3, 121.1, 244.9, 1077.1 and 68.2 links respectively; towards the north-west by Kawhia “S” No. 2a Block aforesaid, 867 links; towards the east by Huki Street, 30.9 links, and Sections 19, 6, 5, and 4, Block I, Te Puru Native Township, 602.9 links; towards the south-east by Sections 3, 2, and 1 of the last-mentioned Block I, 339.5 and 57.2 links; and towards the south generally by Rosamond Terrace, 498.5, 300, and 1500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on plan marked L. and S. 1/68, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
