Conferring Jurisdiction on Native Land Court.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of October, 1917.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section five of the Urewera District Native Reserve Amendment Act, 1909, it is provided that the Native Land Court shall not, without the leave of the Governor in Council first obtained, exercise jurisdiction under Part VI of the Native Land Act, 1909, in respect of land subject to the Urewera District Native Reserve Act, 1896 :
And whereas it is expedient that the Court should be authorized to exercise jurisdiction under Part VI aforesaid in respect of the Ruatahuna Block :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Native Land Court to exercise, in respect of the Ruatahuna Block, the jurisdiction conferred as aforesaid—that is to say, to partition the said block; and for the purposes aforesaid to order the issue of such new instruments of title as may be necessary, and generally to exercise in respect of the said block all the jurisdiction conferred upon the Native Land Court by Part VI of the Native Land Act, 1909.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Lands other than Alienations in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of October, 1917.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend the Order in Council made the thirtieth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and gazetted the second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, for a further period of six months, but only in so far as it affects the lands specified in the Schedule hereto, prohibiting all alienations of such lands other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Partial Revocation of an Order in Council prohibiting all Alienations of certain Native Land other than Alienations in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of October, 1917.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that any Order in Council made under that section may at any time be varied or revoked :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council referred to in the Schedule hereto, but only in so far as it prohibits the alienation (except to the Crown) of the interests of Mata Kaikai and Hana Kaikai, representing approximately 9 acres 3 roods 7 perches.
SCHEDULE.
ORDER in Council under section 363 of the Native Land Act, 1909, dated the 25th June, 1917, and published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the 28th June, 1917, affecting the undermentioned block:—
Waikouaiti, Section 14, Block XII (Native reserve): Approximate area, 19 acres 3 roods 7 perches; Waikouaiti Survey District.

Partial Revocation of an Order in Council under Section 296 of the Native Land Act, 1909.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of October, 1917.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section two hundred and ninety-six of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that any Order in Council made under Part XVI of that Act, or under Part II of the Native Land Settlement Act, 1907, may be at any time revoked, either wholly or as to any part or parts of the land included therein, by the Governor-General by Order in Council :
And whereas the block or parcel of land known as Mangahauini No. 6C became subject, by virtue of an Order in Council dated the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and nine, to the provisions of Part XVI of the Native Land Act, 1909 :
And whereas the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board has recommended that such land be no longer subject to Part XVI aforesaid :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the said Order in Council dated the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and nine, in so far as such Order in Council affects Mangahauini No. 6C.

Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienations in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of October, 1917.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienations of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.
SCHEDULE.
THAT portion of Pakiri No. 1 Block situated in Block X, Pakiri Survey District, and lying between the road and the sea: Approximate area, 6,611 acres.
