THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land
District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners
of Whetumatarau Block is summoned and will be held, in
pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at
Tikitiki on Saturday, the 27th day of October, 1917, at 10
o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the
following proposed resolution:—
“That part of Whetumatarau Block be leased to Poneke
Huihui, farmer, of Te Araroa, for a term of twenty-one years
at a rental equal to 5 per cent. per annum on the present
Government valuation, with the right to a renewal for a
further term of twenty-one years at a rental equal to 5 per
cent. per annum of the then Government unimproved valua-
tion of the said land. If lease not renewed, the lessee to have
compensation for improvements.”

of Matakaoa Block is summoned and will be held, in pur-
suance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at
Tikitiki on Saturday, the 27th day of October, 1917, at 10
o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the
following proposed resolution:—
“That an offer made by the Crown to purchase the portion,
comprising 380 acres, required for a township-site, and de-
lineated on the tracing produced, shall be accepted.”

10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the
following proposed resolution:—
“That the above block be leased to Joseph Clarke, of
Pakihiroa, sheep-farmer, for term of twenty-one years, with
right of renewal for further twenty-one years or compensa-
tion for improvements. Rental, 5 per cent. on present
Government value of land.”

sidering the following proposed resolution:—
“That the Nuhiti Consolidation Block A be leased to Taare
Winiata, of Tolaga Bay, farmer, for twenty-one years at a

yearly rental equal to 5 per cent. of the Government valua-
tion of the said land, together with a right to a renewal for a
further twenty-one years at a yearly rental equal to 5 per
cent. of the then Government unimproved valuation of the
said land, or with the right to compensation for improve-
ments in the event of the renewal not being taken.”

years at a yearly rental equal to 5 per cent. of the then
Government unimproved valuation of the said land, or with
the right to compensation for improvements in the event of
