in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909,
at Tikitiki on Saturday, the 27th day of October, 1917, at
10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the
following proposed resolution:—

“ That a lease of the Marangairoa 1b 3 Block be granted
to Ngatai Wanoa for a term of twenty-one years at yearly
rent equal to 5 per cent. of present Government valuation,
together with right to renewal for further term of twenty-one
years at yearly rent equal to 5 per cent. on the then unim-
proved value of the said land, or with right to compensation
for improvements.”

Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the
Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION No. 52.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land
District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners
of Pahiitaua No. 1 is summoned and will be held, in pur-
suance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at
Tikitiki on Saturday, the 27th day of October, 1917, at
10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the
following proposed resolutions:—

“ That the said Pahiitaua No. 1 Block be sold to Himiona
te Owai and Tuhaka Fox, of Waipiro Bay, at a price not less
than the Government valuation of the land; or, in the
alternative

“ That the said land be leased to Himiona te Owai and
Tuhaka Fox for twenty-one years at a rental not less than
5 per cent. per annum of the present Government valuation,
together with right to renewal for further term of twenty-one
years at a rental equal to 5 per cent. per annum of the then
unimproved value of the land, or with right to compensation
for improvements.”

of Pahiitaua No. 4 is summoned and will be held, in pur-
suance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at
Tikitiki on Saturday, the 27th day of September, 1917, at 10
o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the
following proposed resolution:—

“ That the said Pahiitaua No. 4 Block be sold to Himiona

the trustees of the Waiapu Returned Soldiers Trust at a
price equal to the Government valuation of the owners’
interest in the same.”

“ That the said Whakaangiangi No. 6b 2b Block be sold to

of Waiaranga 1 Block is summoned and will be held, in
pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909,
at Tikitiki on Saturday, the 27th day of October, 1917, at
10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering
the following proposed resolution:—

“ That the said Waiaranga No. 1 Block be leased to Tuta
Oriki and Ani Rangi, both of Waiapu, Native settlers, as
tenants in common in equal shares, for a term of twenty-one
years at a rental not less than 5 per cent. per annum of
the present valuation of the said land, together with the
right to a renewal for a further term of twenty-one years at
a rental equal to 5 per cent. per annum on the then unim-
proved valuation of the said land, or with the right to com-
pensation for improvements.”

pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at
Tikitiki on Saturday, the 27th day of October, 1917, at 10
o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the
following proposed resolution:—

“ That the Wharekahika 17 and 18k Block be leased to
Tamati Houkamau, of Te Araroa, sheep-farmer, for a term
of twenty-one years at a yearly rental equal to 5 per cent. of
the unimproved Government valuation of the said land, to-
gether with a right to a renewal for a further twenty-one
years at a yearly rental equal to 5 per cent. of the then
Government unimproved valuation of the said land, or with
the right to compensation for improvements in the event of
the renewal not being taken.”

of Whetumatarau Block is summoned and will be held,
in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909,
at Tikitiki on Saturday, the 27th day of October, 1917, at
10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the
following proposed resolution:—

“ That a lease of portion of Whetumatarau Block be given
to Arthur William Henderson, of Te Araroa, sheep-farmer,
for a term of twenty-one years at a rental not less than 5 per
cent. per annum of the present valuation of the land, to-
gether with the right to a renewal for a further twenty-one
