The lands are partly drained alluvial clay deposit, and the vegetation consists of light and heavy manuka in places, raupo, cabbage-trees, native grasses, &c. There are a few dried-up watercourses passing through some of the sections.

The Town of Puketurua is situated at the intersection of the Cambridge-Taupo and Putaruru-Waotu Roads, about seven miles from Putaruru Railway-station by formed road. Level and undulating land, covered with fern and scrub; light pumice soil.
Waipa County.—Town of Ngaruawahia.

Altitude, about 50 ft. above sea-level. Level land of good quality, which has lately been cleared and sown. Distant slightly over half a mile from Ngaruawahia Railway-station by partly formed cart-road, which can be used for wheel traffic. Sections command a good view of Waipa River.
Eden County.—Small Lots near Panmure.
SUBURBAN LAND.
Lots 14 and 15, Section 3: Area, 1 acre 2 roods; upset price, £150.
Altitude, about 20 ft. above sea-level. Flat grass land, all ploughable. Soil first-class loam, on volcanic formation. Situated about three-quarters of a mile from Panmure Post-office by good metalled cart-road.
RURAL LAND.
Raglan County.—Whaingaroa Parish.
Section 38A: Area, 8 acres 0 roods 8 perches; upset price, £10.
Section 39A: Area, 10 acres 0 roods 28 perches; upset price, £15.
Altitude, 50 ft. to 100 ft. above sea-level. Undulating land, with steep stony face on Section 38A; both sections covered with gorse, fern, manuka, and blackberry. Soil of second-class quality, on clay subsoil; Section 38A has no water; Section 39A well watered by springs and swamp. Distant about seven miles from Raglan by good road.
Whangarei County.—Waipu Parish.
Section 395: Area, 40 acres 2 roods; upset price, £25.
Altitude, 200 ft. to 400 ft. above sea-level. One-third undulating, balance broken; about 5 acres fern, remainder light mixed forest, with undergrowth of scrub, ferns, &c. Rather poor clay soil, on sandstone formation; poorly watered by small spring, dry in summer. Distant about six miles from Waipu, five miles of which is by cart-road and one mile by unformed road on heavy grade.
Rodney County.—Hoteo Parish.
Section M 16: Area, 60 acres 0 roods 20 perches; upset price, £30.
Altitude, 150 ft. to 350 ft. above sea-level. Broken, steep country, unploughable, covered with fern and manuka. Soil brown loam of poor quality, on sandstone formation; no water. Distant about three miles and a half from Wellsford, of which three miles is by formed road, balance track along ridge.
Section 20: Area, 53 acres; upset price, £70.
Altitude, 200 ft. to 250 ft. above sea-level. Undulating country, not ploughable, covered with heavy scrub and fairly heavy ordinary mixed forest of no commercial value. Soil fairly good brown loam, on sandstone formation; well watered by small streams. Distant about three miles from Wellsford, two miles and a half of which is by formed road, balance track along ridge.
Section M 21: Area, 19 acres 3 roods 5 perches; upset price, £20.
Altitude, 200 ft. to 350 ft. above sea-level. Steep, broken country, covered with heavy scrub and light mixed forest. Soil brown loam, on sandstone formation; fair grass land; no water. Distant about three miles from Wellsford, of which two miles and a half is by formed road, balance track up steep ridges.
Ohinemuri County.—Waihou Survey District.
Section 62, Block XIII: Area, 4 acres 0 roods 32 perches; upset price, £100.
Drained swamp, covered with flax, manuka, and rushes. Soil rich shallow peat, on clay subsoil and timber. Fronts the Patetonga Road. Situated about one mile and a half from Patetonga by formed road.
