Crown Land in Block XIV, Town of Lumsden, set apart for the Purpose of a Post-office.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is Crown land, and is required to be set apart for the purpose of a post-office in Block XIV, Town of Lumsden:
And whereas by section twenty-one of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that whenever any Crown land is required to be set apart for any public work, the Governor-General may at any time, by Proclamation, set the same apart for such public work without complying with any of the provisions of that Act in respect of the taking or setting-apart of other lands for such purpose:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purpose of the said post-office; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 1 rood.
Being Section 4, situated in Block XIV, Town of Lumsden (Southland R.D.).
In the Southland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42724, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-third day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Blocks XI and XV, Whangaparaoa, and IV, Whangaparaoa East Survey Districts, Waiapu County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for the purposes of a road in Blocks XI and XV, Whangaparaoa, and IV, Whangaparaoa East Survey Districts, Waiapu County:
And whereas an agreement has been entered into between the Waiapu County Council and the owner of the land described in the Schedule hereto to take such land for the purposes of a road:
And whereas the Waiapu County Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map in duplicate, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Counties Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-second day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 26 acres 1 rood.
Portion of Waikura No. 1 Block, situated in Blocks XI and XV, Whangaparaoa, and IV, Whangaparaoa East Survey Districts. (S.O. 17436.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39687, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured burnt sienna.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-third day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Land taken for the Purposes of Access to a Rifle Range in Block IX, Hautapu Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for the purposes of access to a rifle range in Block IX, Hautapu Survey District:
And whereas by section two hundred and twenty-five of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that land required for rifle ranges or for approaches thereto may be taken as for a public work, and in the manner prescribed in Part IX of the said Act for taking land for defence purposes:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of access to the said rifle range, and shall vest in His Majesty the King on and after the eighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.
