THAMES COUNTY COUNCIL.

EXTRACT FROM MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON THE 3RD DAY OF APRIL, 1917.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Thames County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of four thousand pounds (£4,000), authorized to be raised by the Thames County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the construction of a ferry across the Waihou River at Puriri, and the forming and metalling of the approach roads thereto, the Thames County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine-eighths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Puriri Ferry and Approach Roads Special-rating Area, comprising all that parcel of land bounded as follows,—

Commencing at the north-western corner of the Hapurukau Block; thence easterly along the boundaries of the aforesaid Hapurukau Block and the Okewa Block 5416 to the centre of a road reserve; thence northerly along the centre-line of the aforesaid road reserve to the centre-line of the Thames to Hikutaia Road; thence south-easterly along the centre-line of the aforesaid Thames to Hikutaia Road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 6, Marshall’s Farm; thence north-easterly and easterly along the east and north boundaries generally of the aforesaid Section 6, Marshall’s Farm, Takainikau 5229A, Ahitungangi 4749, Okalaro 3041, Raupekapeka 2907B, Timber Reserve (600 acres), Pakirarahi No. 2A, and Pakirarahi No. 2B; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of the aforesaid Pakirarahi No. 2B Block to Quartz (Oneura) Creek; thence westerly by the aforesaid Quartz (Oneura) Creek to the main dividing-range between Tairua and Thames; thence southerly by the aforesaid dividing-range to the intersection with the centre-line of the main Omahu Creek; thence westerly by the centre-line of the aforesaid Omahu Creek to the centre-line of the Waihou River; thence south-westerly by the centre-line of the aforesaid Waihou River to a point opposite the south-eastern boundary of Section 46, Turua Estate; thence by the aforesaid eastern boundary of Section 46, Turua Estate, and of the south-eastern boundary of Section 45, Turua Estate, portion of north-east and the south-east boundary of Section 7, Block 3, Waihou Survey District, to the centre-line of the Kopuarahi–Kerepeehi Road; thence in a north-westerly direction along the centre-line of the aforesaid Kopuarahi–Kerepeehi Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 11, Block 2, Waihou Survey District; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of the aforesaid Section 11, Block 2, Waihou Survey District, and the southern boundaries of Sections 6 and 7, also of Block 2, Waihou Survey District, to the south-western boundary of the Turua Estate; thence along the south-western boundaries of Sections 25, 23, 21, Turua Estate; thence in an easterly direction along the north-western boundaries of the aforesaid Section 21, Turua Estate, and Section 22 also of Turua Estate, to the left bank of the Waihou River; thence to a point in the centre of the Waihou River in line with the portion of the north-western boundary of Section 22, Turua Estate, adjacent to the Waihou River; thence along the centre of the Waihou River to a point opposite the south-western boundary of Hapurukau Block; and thence from the aforesaid point and along the aforesaid south-western boundary of the Hapurukau Block to the point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy of and extract from the minutes of the proceedings of the Thames County Council as passed at a meeting of the said Council at Thames on the third day of April, 1917.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Thames County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand seven hundred pounds (£3,700), authorized to be raised by the Thames County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing, forming, and metalling the roads to connect with the Kopu Ferry, the Thames County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Kopu Ferry Special-rating Area (forming and metalling approach roads), comprising all that parcel of land bounded as follows,—

Commencing at a point in the centre of the Waiwhakaurunga (Kauaeranga) River where the aforesaid Waiwhakaurunga River joins the Firth of Thames; thence generally in an easterly direction generally along the centre-line of the aforesaid Waiwhakaurunga River to a point in line with the eastern boundary of the Pikiwahine Block (5911); thence from the aforesaid point generally in a south-easterly direction, and along the eastern boundaries of the aforesaid Pikiwahine Block and Sections 6 and 7, Waiwhatawhata Block, portions of the northern boundary of the Parakiri No. 1 Block, and the Pukewhau Block and the north-eastern boundary of the Pukewhau Block to the centre of the Kirikiri Stream; thence generally in a south-westerly direction along the centre-line of the Kirikiri Stream to the centre of the Waihou River; thence southerly along the centre-line of the Waihou River to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 22, Turua Estate; thence generally in a south-westerly and westerly direction from the aforesaid point, and along the north-western boundary of the aforesaid Section 22, Turua Estate, the northern boundary of Section 21, the western boundary of the aforesaid Section 21, and Sections 23, 25, all of the Turua Estate, and the southern boundaries of Sections 7, 6, and all 11, all of Block 2, Waihou Survey District, to the centre of the Kopuarahi–Kerepeehi Road; thence in a north-westerly direction along the centre-line of the aforesaid Kopuarahi–Kerepeehi Road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 1, Block 2, Waihou Survey District; thence from the aforesaid point in a south-westerly direction along the north-western boundary of the aforesaid Section 1, Block 2, Waihou Survey District, and a right line connecting the north-western corner of the aforesaid Section 1, Block 2, Waihou Survey District, and a point in the centre of the Te Hopai Road on the left or western bank of the Piako River, to the right or eastern bank of the Piako River; thence generally in a northerly direction along the right or eastern bank of the aforesaid Piako River to the Firth of Thames; thence generally in a north-easterly direction along the Firth of Thames, and across the mouth of the Waihou River to the point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

EXTRACT FROM MINUTES OF MEETING HELD ON THE 3RD DAY OF APRIL, 1917.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Thames County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand five hundred pounds (£1,500), authorized to be raised by the Thames County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes of constructing bridges over and across streams which cross the Thames to Waikawau Road, the Thames County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Thames to Waikawau Road Special-rating District, comprising all that parcel of land bounded as follows,—

Commencing at a point where the southern bank of the Waikawau River intersects the Firth of Thames; thence in an easterly direction generally along the northern boundary of the Thames County to the eastern boundary of a timber lease adjacent to the Rangihau River; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of the aforesaid timber lease and of Block 13, Hastings Survey District, to the intersection with the southern boundary of the aforesaid Block 13, Hastings Survey District; thence along the southern boundary of the aforesaid Block 13 and 12, both of Hastings Survey District, to the intersection with the north-eastern boundary of Section 23, Block 15, Hastings Survey District; thence north-westerly and south-westerly along the boundary of the aforesaid Section 23, Block 15, Hastings Survey District, to the centre-line of
