NORTHCOTE MOTOR TRANSPORT COMPANY
(LIMITED).
AT an extraordinary meeting of shareholders of the above
company held at Tarry’s Hall, Northcote, on July 12th,
the following resolution was passed unanimously :—
“That the Northcote Motor Transport Company (Limited)
be wound up voluntarily.”
A further extraordinary meeting of the shareholders will
be held on Tuesday, July 31st, 1917, at Tarry’s Hall, North-
cote, at 8 p.m., to pass the same as an extraordinary resolution.

IN LIQUIDATION.
AT the annual general meeting of shareholders of the
above company held at its registered address, 148
Hereford Street, Christchurch, on November 13th, 1916,
the following special resolution was passed unanimously, and
confirmed unanimously at an extraordinary general meeting
of shareholders on November 29th, 1916, at same place :—
“That this company be wound up voluntarily ; and that
Mr. THOMAS HENRY HARKER be appointed Liquidator, with
full powers, instead of Secretary and Manager.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Extract from the minutes of proceedings at a meeting
held on the 14th day of July, 1917, at 2.30 p.m.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Wai-
marino County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of one
thousand one hundred and forty pounds (£1,140), authorized
to be raised by the Waimarino County Council, under the
above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of felling, clearing,
bridging, and forming into a dray-road the Ohotu-Karioi
Road from its junction with the Parapara–Raetihi Road to
the north-western corner of Section 3, Block II, Ngamatea
District, the said Waimarino County Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one penny halfpenny in the pound
sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property in the Ohotu No. 5 Special-
rating Area. Such special-rating area comprises the following
lands: Sections 10 and 14, Block XV, Makotuku Survey
District; Sections 7 and 9, Block I, and Sections 1, 2, and 3,
Block II, Ngamatea Survey District. And that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of thirty-six years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Extract from the minutes of proceedings at a meeting
held on the 7th day of July, 1917, at 10.30 a.m.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and
of all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Awakino
County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of seven hundred and ten pounds (£710),
authorized to be raised by the Awakino County Council,
under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repairing
and renewing, in conjunction with the Waitomo County
Council, that portion of the main Te Kuiti–Awakino Road
between Piopio and the Ototohu Stream at Mahoenui, the said
Awakino County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one-sixth of a penny in the pound sterling upon the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the Mahoenui Special-rating Area,
comprising the following sections: In the Maungamangero
Survey District—east part of Section 1, Block XIII; and
west part of Section 1, Block XIV. In the Awakino East
Survey District—east part of Section 1, Block 1; east portion
of Section 3, Block I; south-east portion of Section 1, west
portion of Section 2, west portion of Section 3, west portion
of Section 4, all in Block II; and Section 1, Block III; and
Karu-o-te-Whenua B No. 2B No. 5A part, B No. 2B Section 1
part, B No. 2B No. 6 part, and south portion of Kinohaku
West A No. 1, and south portion of Puketiti No. 2A and
Puketiti No. 2B Section 1, No. 2B Section 2A, 2B Section 2B,
No. 2B Section 2C, 2B Section 2D, No. 2B Section 2E, No. 2B
Section 2F, No. 2B Section 3; and west portion of Puketiti
No. 3A, east portion of Puketiti No. 3B 1, and west portion of

THAMES COUNTY COUNCIL.
EXTRACT FROM THE MINUTES OF A MEETING HELD ON THE
8TH MAY, 1917.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Thames County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of thirteen hundred pounds
(£1,300), authorized to be raised under the above-mentioned
Act, and in pursuance of a Governor’s Warrant under sec-
tion 19 of the Public Works Act, 1913, the Thames County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixteenth
of a penny in the pound (1/16 of 1d.) upon the rateable value
of all rateable property in the Thames County (on the basis
of the unimproved value); and that such special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy
of and extract from the minutes of the proceedings of the
Thames County Council as passed at a meeting of the said
Council at Thames on the 8th day of May, 1917.
