CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest at a rate not exceeding £4 per centum per annum, and other charges on a loan of three thousand five hundred pounds (£3,500), being part of the Destructor and Sanitary Works Loan of £18,500, authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City Council, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1900, and the Public Health Act, 1900, for the construction of railway-sidings, caretaker’s house, and other sanitary works in connection with establishing the sealed-pan system for the removal of nightsoil within the City of Christchurch, as the said city was constituted on the 27th day of May, 1901, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five hundred and one five-thousandths (501/5000ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the said portion of the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the remainder of the currency of such loan, being a period of twelve years and eleven and one-half months (12 years 11½ months), or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch was hereto affixed in the presence of—

COUNTY OF EGMONT.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Egmont County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the Egmont County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and metalling that portion of the Auroa Road situated on the boundary between Eltham and Egmont Counties, from the southern boundary of the National Park and running in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of Blocks V and IX, Kaupokonui Survey District, to the southern boundary of the said Block IX, the said Egmont County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twelve-thirteenths (12/13ths) of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of the Auroa Road Special-rating Area as described in the Schedule hereunder; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
