NEW ZEALAND MEDICAL CORPS.

Captain Gilbert Haywood Mirams, M.B., B.S., N.Z. Univ., to be a member of a Special District Medical Board. Dated 10th July, 1917.

Captain James Alexander Macdonnell, N.Z. Expeditionary Force, is struck off the strength, and absorbed with his original rank and seniority—viz., Captain, as from 14th March, 1916 (vide N.Z. Gazette No. 63, of the 3rd August, 1916); to date from 8th June, 1917.

NEW ZEALAND DENTAL CORPS.

Frederick William Thompson is granted the rank of Honorary Captain (temp.) whilst acting as an Expert Dental Adviser to Medical Boards, Canterbury Military District. Dated 11th July, 1917.

Honorary Captain Leslie Fosbery Nancarrow relinquishes his appointment as Dental Examining Officer to a District Medical Board, and the honorary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 17th July, 1917.

NEW ZEALAND VETERINARY CORPS.

William Charles Ring, v.m.d., to be Captain. Dated 16th July, 1917.

NEW ZEALAND CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.

The Reverend Charles Moseley Nelson, M.A., Chaplain to the Forces, 3rd Class, is posted to the Retired List, under the provisions of paragraph 126, General Regulations, 1913, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 13th July, 1917.

The appointments of the undermentioned Chaplains to the Forces are extended for a further period of two years, as from the 13th July, 1917 :—

The Reverend William Shirer, Chaplain to the Forces, 2nd Class.

The Right Reverend Monsignor John McKenna, Chaplain to the Forces, 3rd Class.

The Reverend George Henry Mann, Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class.

Lieutenant Eric Ellerslie Bamford, from the Unattached List (b), to be Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class. Dated 28th June, 1917.

UNATTACHED LIST (a).

Lieutenant Henry James Gillmore is appointed Assistant Paymaster in the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, for duty on New Zealand Transports. Dated 7th July, 1917.

UNATTACHED LIST (b).

Lieutenant Eric Ellerslie Bamford is transferred to the New Zealand Chaplains Department. Dated 28th June, 1917.

Lieutenant Gilbert Walpole Coombe ceases to be seconded for duty with the 3rd (Auckland) Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own), Coast Defence Detachment. Dated 24th July, 1917.

Lieutenant Frank Leslie Hunt is appointed an Attesting Officer under the Military Service Act. Dated 25th January, 1917.

2nd Lieutenant William Michael Thom is appointed Attesting Officer to the 3rd (Canterbury) Military Service Board. Dated 1st July, 1917.

2nd Lieutenant Henry Vincent Foster, from the 10th (North Otago) Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 1st June, 1917.

2nd Lieutenant Harold John Drummond Sheldon is attached for duty to the New Zealand Garrison Artillery (Wellington G.A. Division), (temp.). Dated 1st July, 1917.

The undermentioned to be 2nd Lieutenants. Dated 9th July, 1917 :—

Wilfred Ralph Andrews to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.). Dated 6th July, 1917.

Regimental Sergeant-major Victor George Jones, N.Z. Expeditionary Force, to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 6th September, 1915.

Lieutenant Victor George Jones, N.Z. Expeditionary Force, is struck off the strength, and absorbed into the Royal N.Z. Artillery with his original rank and seniority therein; to date from 26th July, 1917.

ERRATA.

With reference to the notification in the N.Z. Gazette No. 34, of the 22nd February, 1917, relative to the appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (temp.) William Henry Melville Amos, 5th (Wellington) Regiment, for the words “20th December, 1916,” read “28th November, 1916.”

With reference to the notification in the N.Z. Gazette No. 102, of the 21st June, 1917, relative to Lieutenant William John Mitchell, for the words “1st (Canterbury) Regiment” read “13th (North Canterbury and Westland) Regiment.”

With reference to the notice published in the N.Z. Gazette No. 115, of the 12th July, 1917, relating to Lieutenant-Colonel Arthur Stoneham (National Reserve), for the words “Retired List” read “v.d., Reserve of Officers.”
