Special Order made by the Ohinemuri County Council altering
Electoral Boundaries of Ridings.

THE following special order, made by the Ohinemuri
County Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of
the Counties Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, the
Ohinemuri County Council resolves by way of special order
as follows:

  1. The present division of the County of Ohinemuri into
    six ridings is revoked, and in lieu thereof the said county
    shall be divided into nine ridings, to be called respectively
    Patetonga Riding, Netherton Riding, Waitoa Riding, Kaima-
    nawa Riding, Paeroa Riding, Mangaiti Riding, Karangahake
    Riding, Waitekauri Riding, and Waikino Riding, which said
    ridings are respectively described in the Schedule hereto.
  2. The said Ohinemuri County Council shall consist of
    nine members, and the electors of each of the said ridings
    shall elect one Councillor.
  3. The alteration already made shall take effect on and
    after the 3rd day of October, 1917.
    SCHEDULE.
    Patetonga Riding.
    All that area in the Auckland Land District, Ohinemuri
    County, commencing at the north-west corner of the Ohinemuri
    County, bounded towards the north by the Thames County
    boundary to the middle of the Piako River, towards the east
    by a line along the middle of the Piako River aforesaid to the
    Piako County boundary, towards the south by the aforesaid
    Piako County boundary, and towards the west by the Wai-
    kato County boundary to the place of commencement.
    Netherton Riding.
    All that area in the Auckland Land District, Ohinemuri
    County, commencing at a point in the middle of the Piako
    River on the northern boundary-line of the Ohinemuri County,
    bounded towards the north by the Thames County boundary
    to a point in the middle of the Waihou River; towards the
    east by a line along the middle of the Waihou River aforesaid
    to the south boundary-line of Block XVI, Waihou Survey
    District; towards the south by part of Block IV, Block III,
    and part south-east and south-west boundaries of the Te
    Awati Block No. 1B 2B 3 and 1J 2B 4 Block, and again by
    part of Block III and part of Block II, Waitoa Survey District,
    to the middle of the Piako River; and towards the west by
    a line along the middle of the Piako River aforseaid to the
    place of commencement.
    Waitoa Riding.
    All that area in the Auckland Land District, Ohinemuri
    County, commencing at a point in the middle of the Piako
    River on the northern boundary-line of Block II, Waitoa
    Survey District, bounded towards the north by the Netherton
    Riding aforescribed, towards the east by a line along the
    middle of the Waihou River to the south boundary-line of
    the Ohinemuri County, towards the south of the Piako County
    boundary-line to the middle of the Piako River aforesaid,
    and towards the west by a line along the middle of the Piako
    River aforesaid to the place of commencement.
    Kaimanawa Riding.
    All that area in the Auckland Land District, Ohinemuri
    County, commencing at a point in the middle of the Waihou
    River on the northern boundary of the Ohinemuri County,
    bounded towards the north by Thames County boundary-
    line to a point due north of a Trig. Station 89 (Ngapuketurua);
    towards the east generally by a right line to Trig. Station 89
    aforesaid, thence in a southerly direction by the top of the
    main range to Trig. Station 1858 (Whakamoehau), thence
    by a right line to Trig. Station 1863, thence by a right line
    to the most northerly corner of Section No. 13, Block X,
    Ohinemuri Survey District; towards the south generally by
    Section No. 13 aforesaid and a line along the middle of the
    Komata Stream to its confluence with the Waihou River,
    and by that line produced to the middle of the last said river;
    and towards the west generally by a line along the middle of
    the Waihou River aforesaid to the point of commencement.
    Pueroa Riding.
    All that area in the Auckland Land District, Ohinemuri
    County, commencing at a point in the middle of the Waihou
    River near its confluence with the Komata Stream, bounded
    towards the north generally by the Kaimanawa Riding
    aforedescribed; towards the east generally by the eastern
    boundaries of Sections 13, 14, and 3, Block X, and eastern
    boundary of Section 46, Block XIV, Ohinemuri Survey
    District, and part of the eastern boundary of the Paeroa
    Watershed Reserve to Trig. Station 61 (Puketawa); towards
    the south generally by a right line from Trig. 61 aforesaid
    to the north-eastern corner of Section 2, Block XIII,
    Ohinemuri Survey District (Uriwha Native Reserve), by
    the said Section 2, Block XIII, and part of the southern
    boundary of the Paeroa Watershed Reserve aforesaid to
    the middle of the Tarariki Stream, and by a line along
    the middle of the last said stream to its confluence with
    the Ohinemuri River, and by a right line to the middle
    of the Ohinemuri River aforesaid, again towards the east
    generally by a line along the middle of the Ohinemuri River
    aforesaid to a point the production of the eastern boundary-
    line of the Tapuariki Block, thence by a right line to the
    aforesaid eastern boundary-line, by that said eastern boundary-
    line, and the eastern boundary of Wairahaki Block; again
    towards the south generally by the southern and part of west
    boundaries of the aforesaid Wairahaki Block and the southern
    boundaries of Otamaurunganui B and A, Takapau, Piraurahi
    No. 3A, and Te Horo Blocks, and the production of the southern
    boundary of the last said block to the middle of the Waihou
    River; and towards the west generally by a line along the
    middle of the said Waihou River to the place of commence-
    ment: excepting from the above-described area the Borough
    of Paeroa as described in the New Zealand Gazette of 9th
    September, 1915, page 3182.
    Mangaiti Riding.
    All that area in the Auckland Land District, Ohinemuri
    County, commencing at a point in the middle of the Waihou
    River, the production of the southern boundary-line of Te
    Horo Block, bounded towards the north generally by the
    Paeroa Riding aforedescribed to the middle of the old
    Paeroa and Te Aroha mian road; towards the east generally
    by a line along the middle of the Paeroa-Te Aroha main
    road aforesaid, and by a right line to the eastern boundary
    of Rotokohu Block, by the said eastern boundary of Rotokohu
    Block, the north-eastern boundary of Pukemokemoke Block,
    the northern and eastern boundaries of Sections 23 and 24,
    Block V, Aroha Survey District, the eastern boundaries of
    H.P.L.s Nos. 194, 158, and 163, and part of the northern
    and eastern boundaries of Forest Reserve, to the southern
    boundary-line of Ohinemuri County; towards the south
    generally by Tauranga and Piako County boundary-lines,
    Te Aroha Borough, as described in New Zealand Gazette of
    1917, page 1868, to the southern boundary-line of the Ohine-
    muri County, and by the last said boundary-line to the
    middle of the Waihou River; and towards the west
    generally by a line along the middle of the Waihou River
    aforesaid to the place of commencement.
    Karangahake Riding.
    All that area in the Auckland Land District, Ohinemuri
    County, commencing at a point in the middle of the Ohinemuri
    River near its confluence with the Tarariki Stream, bounded
    towards the north generally by the Paeroa Riding afore-
    described to Trig. Station 61; towards the east generally
    by part of the eastern boundaries of the Paeroa and Karanga-
    hake Watershed Reserves to the junction of the boundaries
    of the Karangahake and Waikino Watershed Reserves;
    thence by the said Waikino Watershed Reserve to its southern-
    most corner; thence by a right line to the north-west corner
    of Section 29, Block XIV, Ohinemuri Survey District, part
    of the western boundary of the Owharoa Block, the north-
    west and south-west boundaries of Section 17, Block XIV,
    Ohinemuri Survey District aforesaid, and the south-west
    boundary-line produced to the middle of the Ohinemuri
    River; thence by a line along the middle of the said Ohinemuri
    River to a point the production of the eastern boundary-line
    of Section 15, Block II, Aroha Survey District, by a right line
    to and by the said eastern boundary-line of Section 15 afore-
    said, by Sections 36, 34, 16, and 35, Block II, Aroha Survey
    District, and the western boundary-line of Section 35 aforesaid
    produced to the middle of the Waitawheta Stream, by a line
    along the middle of the last said stream to a point the pro-
    duction of the north-west boundary of Section 19, Block II,
    Aroha Survey District; thence to and by the said north-west
    boundary of said Section 19 and by its south-west boundary-
    line and that line produced to the middle of the Waitawheta
    Stream aforesaid to a point the production of the western
    boundary-line of H.P.L. 108, by a right line to and by the
    said western boundary of said H.P.L. 108 and by the western
