County as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 1st August, 1912, page 2379, and Whangamomona County as described in the First Schedule to the Whangamomona County Act, 1907, to Mount Humphries; thence towards the north-east by the western watershed of the Wanganui River to a point in line with the southern boundary-line of Block VIII, Ngaiire Survey District; thence towards the south generally by a right line running due west to Koane Road; thence by the said Koane Road to Section No. 17, Block XII, Omona Survey District; thence by that section to Moeawatea Road; thence by Moeawatea Road to a point in line with the northern boundary-line of Section No. 3, Block VIII, Omona Survey District; thence across the Moeawatea Road and by the northern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 3, 4, and 1, Block VIII aforesaid, across the Karewa Road, and by the northern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 21, 4, and 1, Block VII, Omona Survey District, to the south-western corner of Section No. 5, Block VII aforesaid; thence by the western boundary of that section and the southern boundary of Section No. 8, Block II, Omona Survey District, to the westernmost corner of Subsection No. 1 of Subdivision 1 of Matemateaonga Block; thence by the south-eastern boundaries of Subsections Nos. 1 and 6 of Subdivision 1 aforesaid and the eastern and southern boundaries of Subsection No. 7 to the Patea River; thence by the Patea River to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 11, Block VIII, Ngaiire Survey District; thence to and by that section and by Block XII to Trig. Station B, Rahui, by Subdivision 15, Pukengahu Block, to the eastern corner of the northern part of that subdivision of 23 acres 1 rood 8 perches purchased by J. Christoffel; thence by the southern boundary of the said northern part and by the said Subdivision 15 to the Pukengahu Road, by that road to a point due west of Trig. Station B, Rahui; thence by a line running due west to the north-western boundary of Subdivision 13, Pukengahu Block, and by that subdivision to the northern boundary of Block XI, Ngaiire Survey District, by that block to the northernmost corner of Section 35, and by that section to Oru Road, by that road to and by Ngaiire Road to its junction with Karepo Road, by Karepo Road to and by the northern boundary of Block X, Ngaiire Survey District, to the middle of the Waingongoro River; thence by a line along the middle of that river to the middle of Finnerty Road; thence by a line along the middle of Finnerty Road to Hastings Road; thence by a line along the middle of Hastings Road to a point opposite the northern boundary of Section No. 32, Block VIII, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence by a right line to the north-eastern corner of that section; thence by Sections Nos. 32 and 31, Block VIII aforesaid, to Duthie Road, across that road, and by Section No. 29, said Block VIII, and the production of the northern boundary of that section to the middle of Palmer Road; thence by a line along the middle of that road to the north-eastern corner of Block XI, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence by Blocks XI and X to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 1, Block VI, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence towards the west generally by the last-mentioned section to Opunake Road, and by the southern side of that road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section No. 16, Block VI aforesaid; thence across the Opunake Road, and by Sections Nos. 16, 13, and 11, Block VI aforesaid, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; and thence by a right line to the summit of Mount Egmont, the place of commencement: excepting the Borough of Stratford.

ELTHAM COUNTY.

All that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded towards the north-east and north generally by Stratford County hereinbefore described from the summit of Mount Egmont to Koane Road; thence towards the east to and by a line along the middle of that road to Rawhitiroa Road; thence towards the south generally by a line along the middle of that road to its junction with Lower Moeawatea Road, and along the middle of the last-mentioned road to a point opposite the southernmost corner of Section 3, Block XVI, Omona Survey District; thence to and by the south-western and western boundaries of that section to Epero Road, to and by a line along the middle of that road to and by a line along the middle of Whenuakura Valley Road to a point opposite the north-eastern corner of Section 4, Block XIV, Omona Survey District; thence to and by that section, Section 2, Block XIV aforesaid, Section 4, Block XIII, the production of the northern boundary of the last-mentioned section to and by Section 6, Block XIII aforesaid, to Roimata Trig. Station; thence by a right line to the easternmost corner of Subsection 6 of Tutaeariari No. 1 Block, and by that subsection to the Makino Stream, by that stream through Subsection 9 of the said Tutaeariari No. 1 Block to its north-western boundary; thence by the north-western boundary of that block to Section 25, Block XV, Ngarere

Survey District, by that section to the south-eastern corner of Subdivision 1 (northern part) of Section 14, Block XV aforesaid; thence by the southern part of the said Section 14 to the north-eastern corner of Section 13, Block XV aforesaid, by that section to the Rotokare Road; thence to and by a line along the middle of that road to the Ararata Stream at the junction of the Rotokare and Makino Roads, and by a line along the middle of that stream to the north-eastern boundary of Block II, Hawera Survey District; thence by Block III, Hawera Survey District, to the south-eastern boundary of Subdivision 9, Section 4, of Block II aforesaid; thence by the south-eastern boundary of that subdivision and its production to the middle of Tiromoana Road, and by a line along the middle of that road to Fraser Road, by a line along the middle of Fraser Road to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 21, Block II aforesaid; thence to and by that section and Section 13 to Mountain Road; thence by a right line to the easternmost corner of Section 326, Block I, Hawera Survey District, and by Sections 326, 325, and 324 to One-whaia Road, to and by a line along the middle of that road to the Waingongoro River, to and by a line along the middle of that river to Skeet Road, and by a line along the middle of Skeet Road to its junction with Palmer Road; thence towards the west by a line along the middle of Palmer Road to the north-eastern corner of Block XV, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence again towards the south by Blocks XV and XIV, Kaupokonui Survey District, to the middle of Auroa Road; and thence again towards the west by a line along the middle of Auroa Road to the southern boundary of Mount Egmont Forest Reserve; and thence by a right line to the summit of Mount Egmont, the place of commencement: excepting the Borough of Eltham.

Altering Boundaries of Horowhenua, Masterton, Mauriceville, and Ekatahuna Counties.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is provided by subsection two of section three of the Counties Amendment Act, 1913, that the boundaries of any one or more counties may be altered in accordance with a resolution proposing the alteration passed by the Council of each of such counties in which the principal Act is in force: And whereas a resolution was passed by the Horowhenua County Council on the tenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and sealed with the seal of the said county on the same day: And whereas similar resolutions were passed by the Mauriceville County Council on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and sealed with the seal of the said county on the same day; and by the Masterton County Council on the tenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and sealed with the seal of the said county on the same day; and by the Ekatahuna County Council on the fourteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and sealed with the seal of the said county on the twenty-first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, praying for the inclusion in the Horowhenua County of those parts of the Counties of Ekatahuna, Mauriceville, and Masterton respectively described in the said resolutions and in the First Schedule hereto: And whereas it is expedient to make such alterations in accordance with the said resolutions:
