Section 241: Area, 112 acres 1 rood 14 perches. Approximate rent per acre per annum, 10d. Capital value, £90. Occupation with right of purchase: Half-yearly rent, £2 5s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £1 16s.
Altitude, about 800 ft. above sea-level. Undulating land, mostly fern, with about 20 acres of light mixed forest in patches. Light soil of medium quality, on clay subsoil; well watered by streams. Distant about ten miles from Tauranga by formed road, except the last twenty chains, which is unformed as yet.
Bay of Islands County.—Ruapekapeka Parish.
Section 123: Area, 155 acres. Approximate rent per acre per annum, 8d. Capital value, £100. Occupation with right of purchase: Half-yearly rent, £2 10s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £2.
Altitude, 30 ft. to 580 ft. above sea-level. Several acres of river-flat, balance hilly and undulating; a few acres of ordinary light mixed forest in gullies, remainder fern and manuka country. Soil inferior clay, on clay and papa formation; well watered by streams. Distant three miles from Kawakawa Railway-station by formed cart-road.
West Taupo County.—Wharepapa Survey District.
Section 3, Block III: Area, 1,058 acres 1 rood 24 perches. Approximate rent per acre per annum, 1s. 3d. Capital value, £1,330. Occupation with right of purchase: Half-yearly rent, £33 5s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £26 12s.
Altitude, about 400 ft. above sea-level. Undulating to slightly broken land, covered with fern and manuka scrub. Light soil of medium quality, on sandstone formation; fairly well watered by Waikato River and small streams. Distant twenty-four miles from Te Awamutu by formed dray-road not metalled.
Waitomo County.—Pakaumanu Survey District.
Section 2, Block X: Area, 370 acres 2 roods 10 perches. Approximate rent per acre per annum, 2s. Capital value, £740. Occupation with right of purchase: Half-yearly rent, £18 10s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £14 16s.
Altitude, 700 ft. to 1,300 ft. above sea-level. About half undulating to slightly broken country, covered with fern and manuka; balance level, undulating and broken, covered with light mixed forest comprising tawa, tawhero, hinau, rewarewa, and rimu, with heavy undergrowth of konini, mahoe, supplejack, &c. Light soil, of medium quality, on sandstone formation; well watered by small streams and springs. Distant four miles and three-quarters from Kopaki Railway-station by formed road.
Waitomo County.—Orahiri Survey District.
Section 10, Block III: Area, 201 acres. Approximate rent per acre per annum, 1s. 6d. Capital value, £300. Occupation with right of purchase: Half-yearly rent, £7 10s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £6.
Altitude, 450 ft. to 850 ft. above sea-level. Broken country, about two-thirds light mixed forest comprising tawa, tawhero, rewarewa, and a few rimu, with fairly heavy undergrowth of makomako, supplejack, konini, &c.; balance manuka scrub and short fern. About 20 acres ploughable. Poor soil, of a light nature, on sandstone formation; well watered by small stream. Distant six miles and a half from Otorohanga by dray-road, five miles of which is metalled.
Sections 12 and 22, Block VII: Area, 328 acres 1 rood 9 perches. Approximate rent per acre per annum, 1s. 9d. Capital value, £580. Occupation with right of purchase: Half-yearly rent, £14 10s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £11 12s.
Altitude, 350 ft. to 700 ft. above sea-level. Broken country; about two-thirds light mixed forest comprising tawa, rewarewa, tawhero, &c., with heavy undergrowth of makomako, mahoe, konini, &c.; balance fern and manuka scrub. Soil of medium quality, on limestone formation; well watered by small streams. Distant eight miles from Otorohanga by dray-road, five miles of which is metalled.
