With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 25, of 2nd March, 1916, the appointment of Sergeant-major Percy Wallace Sampson as 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), General List, as Supply Officer, Wellington Docks, lapses, he having ceased to be employed in that capacity. Dated 6th June, 1916.
With reference to the notification published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 143, of 16th December, 1915, relative to the appointment of Harry Bruce Lethbridge and Charles George Morton Boyce, for “2nd Lieutenants (on probation)” read “2nd Lieutenants (temp.).”
Memorandum.
Honorary Lieutenant Alexander Mitchell Wighton (Reserve of Officers) is transferred from Ship’s Quartermaster H.M.N.Z. Transport “Waihora” to Ship’s Quartermaster H.M.N.Z. Transport “Waitemata,” with the rank of Lieutenant, and with effect from the 11th July, 1916.
Lieutenant Forbes Herbert Anderson, New Zealand Army Service Corps, proceeds on active service, with seniority in the Expeditionary Force, as from the 12th February, 1916.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Blocks IX, X, XIII, and XIV, Waihou Survey District, for the more Effective Carrying-out of Drainage and other Works in the Hauraki Plains and for the Better Disposal of Crown Land in that District.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Hauraki Plains Act, 1908, to take land described in the Schedule hereto for the more effective carrying-out of drainage and other works authorized by the latter Act, and for the better disposal of Crown land in that district. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kerepehi, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land required to be taken :—
100 acres, being Waikaka “B” Block, Blocks IX, X, XIII, and XIV.
85 acres 1 rood, being Waikaka “A 2” Block, Blocks IX and XIII.
Situated in Waihou Survey District (S.O. 18984).
In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 40436, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon edged red.
