THE following special order, made by the Taranaki County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

COUNTY OF TARANAKI.
Copy of Special Order describing the Boundaries of the Moa and Mangorei Ridings, and redefining the Boundaries of the Moa Road District, as from 31st March, 1917.
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 34 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1913, a portion of the Moa Road District of the Moa Riding of the County of Taranaki, as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 4th of May, 1916, page 1626, has been annexed to the outlying district of the Mangorei Riding of the County of Taranaki, and doubt exists as to the boundary of such ridings when such annexation takes place on the 31st March, 1917: And whereas it is expedient to describe the boundaries of the Moa and Mangorei Ridings, and to redefine the boundaries of the Moa Road District, as from the 1st of April, 1917:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in the Council by section 23 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Council of the County of Taranaki doth hereby declare that the area described in the First Schedule hereunder shall from the 1st day of April, 1917, comprise the Moa Riding, and the area described in the Second Schedule hereunder shall from the 1st day of April, 1917, comprise the Mangorei Riding; and, in pursuance of section 27 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Moa Road District as from the 1st day of April, 1917, is described in the Third Schedule hereunder.
First Schedule.—Moa Riding.
All that area in the Taranaki County bounded towards the west generally by a right line from the summit of Mount Egmont to the source of the Waiwakaiho Stream; thence by a line along the middle of that stream to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 48, Block X, Paritutu Survey District; thence towards the north generally by a line to and by that section, by Section No. 44, across Egmont Road, and by Section No. 45 and part of Section No. 32 to the Upland Road; thence across that road by part of Section No. 32 and Section No. 41, Block XI, Paritutu Survey District, to a point opposite the westernmost corner of Section No. 80; thence across King Road and by the said Section No. 80 to Hursthouse Road, across that road to the south-western corner of Section No. 55; thence by Sections Nos. 55, 203, and 127 to Wortley Road, across that road, by Sections Nos. 115, 116, and 206 to Richmond Road, across that road, by Sections Nos. 207, 133, 134, 148, 208, and 209 to York Road, across York Road, and by Sections Nos. 211, 210, 166, 167, and 169 to Everett Road; thence by Everett Road to the Mangapoto Stream; thence by the said stream to the Manganui Stream; thence by a line along the middle of the said Manganui Stream to its confluence with the Waitara River; thence towards the north-east generally by Clifton County to Stratford County; and thence towards the east and south generally by Stratford County to the summit of Mount Egmont, the place of commencement: excluding the Borough of Inglewood.
Second Schedule.—Mangorei Riding.
All that area in the Taranaki County bounded towards the south-west by a right line from the summit of Mount Egmont to the southern end of the Okurukuru line; thence by that line to Hurford Road; thence towards the north-west generally by that road to the south-western corner of Section No. 100 in Block I, Egmont Survey District; thence by that section to and across Frankley Road, by that road to Section No. 90; thence by the said Section No. 90 to the Huatoki Stream, by that stream to the Borough of New Plymouth, and by the said Borough of New Plymouth to the Waiwakaiho Stream; thence towards the east and south-east by a line along the middle of the said Waiwakaiho Stream to its source; and thence by a right line to the summit of Mount Egmont, the place of commencement.
Third Schedule.—Boundaries of Moa Road District redefined.
All that area in the Taranaki County bounded as follows: Commencing from a point, the summit of Mount Egmont; thence bounded generally towards the north-west by a right line to the south-west corner of Section No. I, Block XI, Egmont Survey District; thence by the north-west boundary of same Section No. I and a continuation of same to the northern side of the Cambridge Road; thence by the northern side of the Cambridge Road to the south-west corner of Section No. 20; thence by western boundaries of same Section No. 20 and Sections Nos. 19, 18, 16, 15, and 14, Block VII, Egmont Survey District, and by part of south-west and western boundaries of Section No. I, Block VIII, Egmont Survey District, and a continuation of said western boundary of Section No. I to the northern side of the Bedford Road; thence by the northern side of the Bedford Road to the Waiongona Stream; thence by the eastern side of the Waiongona Stream to the southern boundary of the Inglewood Borough; thence by the southern, eastern, and part of the northern boundaries of the Inglewood Borough to the east side of the Mountain Road; thence by the east side of the Mountain Road to the southern boundary of the Waitara West Road District; thence generally towards the north by the southern boundary of the Waitara West Road District to the confluence of the Manganui Stream and the Waitara River; thence towards the north-east and east by the Waitara River and Makino Stream to the northern boundary of the Stratford County; thence towards the south by the northern boundary of the Stratford County to the summit of Mount Egmont, the commencing-point.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Taranaki was affixed hereto by the Chairman, Joseph Brown, duly authorized by resolution of the Council passed on the 4th day of July, 1916.

Special Order altering Boundaries of Ridings.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908, the Featherston County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of altering and adjusting the boundaries of the Otaraia, Turanganui, and Awhea Ridings in the county, the boundaries of the Otaraia, Turanganui, and Awhea Ridings as at present constituted be altered, and the new boundaries be substituted as described hereunder:—
Otaraia Riding.
Bounded on the north-east by the Ferry Road from the Ruamahunga River to the Lower Valley or Wharekaka Road; thence north-east by the said Lower Valley Road to the
