NOTICE is hereby given that the Commissioners appointed to classify and report upon the pastoral run mentioned in the Schedule hereto have reported to His Excellency the Governor that the said run has been classified by them as therein noted.

Land in the Auckland Land District for Disposal under the Land Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with section 326 of the Land Act, 1908, that Section 5, Block XII, Tutamoe Survey District, Auckland Land District, containing 21 acres 2 roods 10 perches, will be disposed of under the provisions of the said Act on or after the 5th day of October, 1916.

Land in Nelson Land District for Disposal.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 326 of the Land Act, 1908, that the “map” education reserve, containing 865 acres, more or less, situated in Block VI, Motupiko Survey District, Nelson Land District, will be disposed of under the provisions of the Discharged Soldiers Act, 1915, on or after the 5th day of October, 1916.

Village-homestead Allotment in Otago Land District open for Selection on Renewable Lease.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned village-homestead allotment is open for selection on renewable lease under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908; and applications will be received at this office up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 13th September, 1916.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—LAKE COUNTY.—TOWN OF ARROWTOWN EXTENSION.
SECTION 2, Block XXXV: Area, 4 acres 2 roods 38 perches; capital value, £5; half-yearly rent, 6s.
Weighted with £20, valuation for two-roomed house.
Situated in the Borough of Arrowtown, about three miles from the post-office. Good road access. More than half the area is good land; balance poor and stony. Soil a light loam, on schist formation; not well watered.

Opening Settlement Land in Southland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

Invercargill, 5th July, 1916.
NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 21 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, that the undermentioned land is open for selection on renewable lease; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 26th July, 1916.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, on Thursday, the 27th July, 1916, at 11 o’clock a.m.
The ballot will be held at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.
Preference will be given to soldiers (either discharged or on active service) and to landless applicants who have children dependent on them or who have within the preceding two years applied for land at least twice unsuccessfully.
The application of any single man of military age may be refused by the Land Board, unless he can produce evidence of rejection from service by the military authorities.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND COUNTY.—TUTURAU SURVEY DISTRICT.—KNOWSLEY PARK SETTLEMENT.
SECTION 6, Block VI: Area, 376 acres 0 roods 10 perches. Approximate annual rent per acre, 5s. 3d. Capital value, £2,114. Half-yearly rent, £49 16s. 6d.
Weighted with £12, valuation for improvements.
Altitude, from 700 ft. to 1,080 ft. above sea-level. Mixed agricultural and pastoral land; all open, undulating and hilly, ring fenced; well watered by small streams. 168 acres have been cultivated and are in grass, the balance is tussock, native grass, and fern. Quality of soil good, on sandstone formation. The successful applicant will have to deposit the sum of £12, being valuation for southern portion of eastern boundary fence. The remaining fencing on north, west, and south boundaries (185 chains, valued at £25 4s.) goes with the section.
The settlement is situated from six miles and a half to nine miles and three-quarters from the Borough of Mataura, and access is by metalled and formed road.

Education Reserves in Otago Land District for Lease by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, 30th June, 1916.
NOTICE is hereby given that the education reserves described in the First and Second Schedules hereto will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, at 11 o’clock a.m. on Wednesday, 23rd August, 1916, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1908, and amendments, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN OF CLYDE.
SECTIONS 16 and 17, Block X: Area, 2 roods; upset annual rental, £1 7s. 6d.
Weighted with £67 10s., valuation for fencing, fruit-trees, and removal of stones.
Level land, quite convenient to school, post-office, and railway-station.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
OTOKIA SURVEY DISTRICT.
SECTION 1 of 20, Block I: Area, 40 acres; upset annual rental, £4.
Part of the section is covered with manuka scrub; part has been cultivated, and is now under new grass. Situated on a good formed road, about a mile and three-quarters from Brighton School and post-office, and about two miles and a half from a creamery.
ABSTRACT OF CONDITIONS OF LEASE OF RESERVE IN FIRST SCHEDULE.

Possession will be given on day of sale, and the term of the lease will commence from 1st January, 1917.

A half-year’s rent at the rate offered, and rent for the broken period between date of sale and 31st December, 1916, lease and registration fee, and valuation for improvements, to be paid on the fall of the hammer.

The term of the lease is twenty years and six months, without right of renewal.
