Minister's Decisions under Customs Duties Act.

Customs Department, Wellington, 5th July, 1916.

IT is hereby notified for public information that the Hon. the Minister of Customs has decided to interpret the Customs Duties Act in relation to the undermentioned articles as follows:—

NOTE.—“Not otherwise enumerated” appears as n.o.e.; “other kinds” as o.k.; “articles and materials suited only for, and to be used solely in, the fabrication of goods in the Dominion” as a. & m.s. Articles marked thus † are revised decisions.

3/302 A. & m.s., viz.:— Iron sheets, perforated (“lipped”), for making screens for threshing-mills As a. & m.s. (482) Free.
†11/17/4 Roller-bearing bushes (“Hyatt” or similar), including rollers, cages, sleeves or inner races, and whole linings or outer races
6/93 Vellum strips for making indices for loose-leaf ledgers As n.o.e. (483) Free.
6/41/2 Crayons known as “lumber crayons,” also metal-workers’ crayons
†11/2/3 Electric appliances, viz.:— Electric cables, in sets, with terminals attached, specially suited for use in connection with electric ignition of motor-vehicle engines As parts of oil-engines (169A) 10 per cent.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Lands in Auckland Land District forfeited.

Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, 1st July, 1916.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands have been declared forfeited by resolution of the Auckland Land Board. The said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.
