THE creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before TUESDAY, the 25TH day of JULY, 1916, to send their names and addresses, and the particulars of their debts or claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors, if any, to Kenelm Noel Hawtrey Browne, the Official Assignee under the Bankruptcy Act, 1908, of the District of Otago and Southland, at Princes Street, Dunedin, the Official Liquidator of the said company; and, if so required by notice in writing from the said Official Liquidator, are by their solicitors to come in and prove their said debts or claims, at the Judge’s Chambers in the Supreme Court House at Dunedin, at such time as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved. NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Napier Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Napier Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and metalling roads and footways and erecting necessary building in and upon the cemetery at Park Island, and laying out the same as and for the purposes of a cemetery, the said Napier Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one forty-fifth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Napier, comprising the whole of the Borough of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 28 years, or thereabouts—that is to say, until the 30th day of June, 1944, or until the loan is fully paid off.
We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Napier Borough Council held on the 26th day of May, 1916.

PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1908, the undersigned, William Moynihan, of Ngapuna, Strath Taieri, Farmer, hereby applies for a license for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Precise time of marking out privilege applied for: 7th June, 1916, at 10 a.m.
Date and number of miner’s right: 6th June, 1916; No. 108513.
Address for service: William Moynihan, Ngapuna, Farmer.
