Award of the Colonial Auxiliary Forces’ Long-service Medal.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the award of a Colonial Auxiliary Forces Long-service Medal to Lieutenant Alfred Ernest Jaggs, Unattached List (b), he having a total service to the 8th May, 1916, entitling him thereto of twenty years and forty-one days.

THE following special order, made by the Moa Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1908.

MOA ROAD BOARD.

Special Order in re £2,700 Loan for Lepper Road South.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, this Board is authorized, by consent of the ratepayers interested, to raise a loan of £2,700 for the purpose of forming and metalling Lepper Road South, such loan to be for a period of thirty-six years and a half, at the rate of £5 12s. 2d. per centum per annum;] to strike as security for such loan a special rate of 1¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Lepper Road South No. 3 Special-rating Area, comprising part Section 121, Sections 122, 123, 125, 126 in two subdivisions, 127 in four subdivisions, and 147, Block IV, Egmont Survey District, Sections 138, 143, 144, 145, and 146, Block III, Egmont Survey District, and Sections part 7, 8, 9 in two subdivisions, 10 in two subdivisions, 11, 12, 13, and 30, Block VII, Egmont Survey District, which are hereby constituted the Lepper Road South No. 3 Special-rating District; and to pay out of such loan the cost of raising it.

I certify that the above special order was duly passed in accordance with the Road Boards Act, 1908, at a special meeting of the Moa Road Board held on Saturday, 15th April, 1916, and confirmed at a subsequent monthly meeting of the Board held on Saturday, 20th May, 1916.
