Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby restrict the number of Californian quail that may be killed by any one person in any one day to not more than forty head in all, in lieu of twenty-five head as stated in the Warrant of the seventh April, which said Warrant is hereby amended accordingly.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Reserve in the Town of Foxton, Wellington Land District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and in the case of any reserve made under the authority of section three hundred and twenty-one of the Land Act, 1908, if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose for which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more of the purposes named in the said Class II, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, make such change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a site for a post-office and telegraph-station to a reserve for railway purposes.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section 583, Town of Foxton. Bounded towards the north by Government reserve, 200 links; towards the east by Main Street, 125 links; towards the south by a closed street, 200 links; and towards the west by Government reserve, 125 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. VI/3 (35), deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eighth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Notice of the Taking and Laying-off of a Road in Patriarch Survey District, Marlborough Land District.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, under the authority of section 213 of the Land Act, 1908, that the road described in the Schedule hereto was, on the 3rd day of March, 1916, duly taken and laid off through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said Dominion, by Warrant dated the 9th day of November, 1915.

Right-of-way in Favour of Lucy Frances Warren and Anna Lydia Williams over Railway Land assented to.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908; and in the matter of a grant of a right-of-way to Lucy Frances Warren, wife of Thomas Corry Warren, of Pukehou, and of Anna Lydia Williams, spinster, of Te Aute, all of Hawke’s Bay, as part compensation for land taken for railway purposes.
