Locality and Description.

The main township, distant rather more than a mile, contains post and telegraph office, school, town hall, numerous stores, &c. It is the outlet of a splendid sawmilling and dairying district. The railway to Raetihi now under construction branches off from Ohakune Station.

The sections offered comprise for the most part flat and undulating land covered with bush. Some are wet in places, but easily drained. Soil is light, partly on clay and partly on grit formation.
