SCHEDULE.

REGULATION 65 is hereby cancelled, and the following regulation made in lieu thereof:—

SPECIAL LEAVE ON RETIREMENT.

65A. With the approval of the Commissioner, special leave of absence may be granted to officers retiring from the Public Service, on the following condition: Provided that the sick or other leave in the twelve months preceding retirement has not exceeded three months.

(a.) Officers retiring on superannuation, or compensation in lieu of superannuation, three months.

(b.) Officers of under ten years’ service retiring for their own purposes, other than medical unfitness, no leave.

(c.) Officers of ten years’ service and under twenty years’ service retiring for their own purposes, other than medical unfitness, one month.

(d.) Officers of at least twenty years’ service retiring for their own purposes, other than medical unfitness, six weeks.

(e.) Officers retiring on medical certificate, three months.

(f.) Officers dispensed with through no fault of their own before reaching the retiring age—
If under five years’ continuous service, one month.
If five years and under ten years, two months.
If ten years or over, three months.

(g.) Women retiring to be married: Over five years’ service, one month; over ten years’ service, two months; over fifteen years’ service, three months.

In pursuance of the provisions of the Public Service Act, 1912, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, approves the foregoing regulations.

Arrangements for First Election, &c., Manurewa Town District.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 7th April, 1916.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint

MATTHEW HENRY ORAM, Esq.,

of Manurewa, to be Returning Officer for the purpose of conducting the first election of seven members of the Board of Commissioners of the Town District of Manurewa, County of Manukau, as constituted under the Town Boards Act, 1908; also to appoint Tuesday, the 2nd day of May, 1916, to be the date, and the Manurewa Public Hall, Manurewa, to be the place, at which such first election shall be held; and also to appoint Thursday, the 4th day of May, 1916, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, to be the time, and the said Manurewa Public Hall, Manurewa, to be the place, at which the first meeting of the Board of Commissioners so elected shall be held.
