A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and eighty-nine of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby lay out and take as roads the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby lay out and set apart as a road the land described in the Schedule hereto, being customary land within the meaning of that Act.

SCHEDULE.

Approximate area of the piece of land taken: 7 acres 3 roods 10 perches.

Portion of Awarua Block, Block XVI, Punakitere Survey District.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 52762, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Settlement Land set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers under Special Tenures in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, do hereby proclaim and declare that the settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

HALL-JONES SETTLEMENT.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing 75 acres 0 roods 5 perches, more or less, being parts of Sections Nos. 23 and 27, Hutt District, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the south-eastern side of the Back Waiwetu Road distant 1356·5 links north-east of its intersection by the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 19, Block XIV aforesaid, and bounded towards the north-west by the Back Waiwetu Road, 2236·6 links; towards the north-east by other part of Section No. 27 aforesaid, 2566 links, to a line down the middle of the Waiwetu River; towards the south-east generally by the said line down the middle of the Waiwetu River to a point where the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 19 aforesaid intersects it; towards the south-west generally by Section No. 19 aforesaid, 1331·8 links; and by other part of Section No. 23 aforesaid, 1088·5 links and 448·5 links, to the place of commencement: save and except a right-of-way 100 links wide which intersects the above-described area: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 19336, deposited at the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
