In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 38979, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this seventh day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Stopping a Government Road in Block XV, Maruia Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by paragraph (c) of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof:
And whereas the Government road described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of a road:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped: 2 acres 2 roods.
Adjoining or passing through Sections 3, 4, and 20 (Nelson R.D.), Block XV, Maruia Survey District.
In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 37367, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Defining Districts within which Liquor is not to be supplied to Maoris.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section forty-three of the Licensing Amendment Act, 1910, it is enacted that the Governor may proclaim any part or parts of New Zealand as districts in which the provisions of the said section shall apply, and may at any time revoke or vary such Proclamation:
And whereas by Order in Council dated the twelfth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and six, and gazetted on the seventeenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and six, the parts of New Zealand known as the Mangonui Maori Council District, the Hokianga Maori Council District, the Tokerau Maori Council District, the Whangarei Maori Council District, and the Wairoa Maori Council District were defined as districts within which liquor shall not be supplied to Maoris for consumption off the premises: And whereas by subsection six of the said section forty-three it is provided that the said districts shall be deemed to have been proclaimed under that section, and that the provisions of that section shall apply thereto accordingly:
And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said Order in Council in so far as it relates to the Hokianga Maori Council District and the Tokerau Maori Council District, and to redefine the said districts:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section forty-three of the Licensing Amendment Act, 1910, as aforesaid, do hereby revoke the Order in Council of the twelfth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and six, in so far as it relates to those parts of New Zealand known as the Hokianga Maori Council District and the Tokerau Maori Council District, and in lieu thereof do hereby proclaim those parts of New Zealand known as the Hokianga Maori Council District and the Pewhairangi Maori Council District respectively, the boundaries of which are set out in the Schedule hereto, to be districts wherein the said section forty-three of the Licensing Amendment Act, 1910, shall apply.

HOKIANGA DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, bounded towards the north-west generally by the Mangonui District as described: the New Zealand Gazette of the 17th May, 1906,
