Bounded towards the north-east by Anderson Road, 789·1 links; towards the south-east by Sections 84 and 85, Block X, Ngaiire Survey District, 1950 links; towards the south-west by Section 87, Block X aforesaid, 787·8 links; and towards the north-west by Section 82, Block X aforesaid, 1996·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1310, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. Formerly known as the Poti Domain.

Extension of the Copyright Act, 1913 (United States of America).

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this second day of February, 1916.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section thirty-three of the Copyright Act, 1913 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), the Governor may by Order in Council direct that the said Act (except such of the provisions thereof, if any, as may be specified in the Order) shall extend, inter alia,—

(a.) To literary, dramatic, musical, and artistic works, or any class thereof, the authors whereof were at the time of the making of the work subjects or citizens of a foreign country to which the Order relates, in like manner as if the authors were British subjects;

(b.) In respect of residence in a foreign country to which the Order relates, in like manner as if such residence were residence in New Zealand:

And whereas it is desirable to provide protection within New Zealand for the unpublished works of citizens of the United States of America: And whereas the Government of the United States of America has granted protection to works entitled to copyright under the provisions of Part I of the said Act, or has undertaken to grant protection so far as such protection does not already exist:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that the said Act (including the provisions as to existing works) shall, subject to the provisions of the said Act and of this Order, apply—

(a.) To literary, dramatic, musical, and artistic works the authors whereof were at the time of the making of the works citizens of the United States of America, in like manner as if the authors had been British subjects;

(b.) In respect of residence in the United States of America, in like manner as if such residence had been residence in New Zealand:

Provided that—

(i.) The term of copyright within New Zealand shall not exceed that conferred by the law of the United States of America;

(ii.) The enjoyment of the rights conferred by this Order shall be subject to the accomplishment of the conditions and formalities prescribed by the law of the United States of America.

(iii.) In the application to existing works of the provisions of section thirty-two of the Copyright Act, 1913, the commencement of this Order shall be substituted for the 1st July, 1913, in paragraph (b) of subsection (1).

This Order in Council shall come into operation on the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Fixing Sittings of the Court of Appeal.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixth day of November, 1916.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the Judicature Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Court of Appeal shall hold its sittings at such times and places as are from time to time appointed by the Governor in Council and notified in the Gazette twenty-one days at least before the times so fixed respectively: And shall determine the division by which such sittings shall be held:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint and declare that sittings of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within the Supreme Court House, in the City of Wellington, upon the following days at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, and doth hereby determine that such sittings shall be held by the respective divisions of the said Court as are shown hereunder:—

Monday, the twenty-sixth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen: By the Second Division of the said Court.

Monday, the twenty-fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen: By the First Division of the said Court.

Monday, the twenty-fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen: By the Second Division of the said Court.

Transfer of County of Egmont Patriotic League’s Wounded Soldiers Fund to the Taranaki Provincial War Relief Association, incorporated under the War Funds Act, 1915.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixth day of November, 1916.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section thirteen of the War Funds Act, 1915 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided that any person, society, or trustees (whether such society or trustees are incorporated or not) having control of any war fund may, with the consent of the Governor in Council, transfer such fund to any other society or trustees incorporated pursuant to section twelve of the said Act, to be applied by such last-mentioned society or trustees for the purposes for which such last-mentioned society or trustees were incorporated, notwithstanding that such purposes may not be identical with the purposes for which the fund to be transferred was established; provided that consent shall not be given to any application under this section unless the Governor in Council is satisfied that the fund to be transferred can be administered by the incorporated society or trustees for substantially the same purposes as those for which that fund was established: And whereas an application has been made by the County of Egmont Patriotic League to transfer the fund held by such committee, entitled “The Wounded Soldiers Fund,” to the Taranaki Provincial War Relief Association (Incorporated): And whereas the Governor in Council is satisfied that such fund can be administered by the Taranaki Provincial War Relief Association for substantially the same purposes as those for which that fund was established: And whereas it is considered desirable to consent to such transfer:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and
