east by the South Pacific Ocean to the Waiau River; on the
south-west by the Waiau River from the sea to its junction
with the Leader River; thence on the west by the rabbit-
fence boundary of Lots 7 and 6 on plan No. 1840, deposited
in Lands Registry Office at Christchurch, to the junction of
Mendip and Long Valley Roads; thence by the western
boundary of the land in transfer plan No. 71693, deposited
in Lands Registry Office aforesaid to its junction with rabbit-
fence bounding Lot 5 of plan No. 1840 aforesaid; thence by
the eastern boundary of the said Lot 5 to its junction with the
southern boundary of Lot 2 on plan No. 2162, deposited in
the Lands Registry Office, Christchurch; and thence along
the southern boundary of the said Lot 2 to the north-west
boundary of the Cheviot County; and thence along such
county boundary to the Gelt River, the point of commence-
ment.
Parnassus Riding.
The Parnassus Riding of the County of Cheviot is bounded
on the north and east generally by the Hawkwood Riding
of the said county hereinbefore described, from the junction
of the county boundary with the southern boundary of Lot 2
on deposit plan 2162 to the junction of the Leader and Waiau
Rivers; thence on the south generally by the northern bank
of the Waiau River to the county boundary; thence on the
north and north-west by the county boundary aforesaid to
the commencing-point on the southern boundary of Lot 2,
deposited plan 2162.
I hereby certify that the above special order of the Cheviot
County Council was duly made on the 10th day of June, 1916,
at a special meeting of the Council, and confirmed at a subse-
quent meeting of the Council on the 8th day of July, 1916.
And a resolution was passed by the Council at its meeting on
the 14th day of October, 1916, that the Chief Surveyor’s
descriptions be embodied in the special order.

Borough of Dargaville, are published in accordance
with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

DARGAVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Declaration of Poll on Proposal to adopt System of Rating
on Unimproved Values for the Hospital and Charitable Aid
Rate and the Water-supply Rates.
PURSUANT to section 39 of the Rating Act, 1908, I hereby
give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough
of Dargaville taken on the 4th day of October, 1916, on
the proposal that the system of rating on the unimproved
value in the said borough be adopted for the hospital and
charitable aid rate and the water-supply rate, the number
of votes recorded for the proposal was 101, and the number
of votes recorded against the proposal was 10; informal, 1:
total, 112.
I therefore declare that the poll was carried.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,
I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Dargaville taken on the 11th day of October,
1916, on the proposal of the Dargaville Borough Council to
borrow the sum of £8,500 (eight thousand five hundred
pounds), half cost of erecting a traffic bridge over the Wairoa
River at Dargaville, the number of votes recorded for the
proposal was 107, and the number of votes recorded against
the proposal was 36; informal votes, 5: total, 148.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

1916, on the proposal of the Dargaville Borough Council to
borrow the sum of £450 (four hundred and fifty pounds),
for the purpose of erecting and equipping a fire-brigade
station in the Borough of Dargaville, the number of votes
recorded for the proposal was 110, and the number of votes
recorded against the proposal was 33; informal votes, 5:
total, 148.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

proposal was 96, and the number of votes recorded against
the proposal was 45; informal votes, 7: total, 148.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Borough of Tauranga, are published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

In the matter of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies
Empowering Act, 1916, and the Municipal Corporations
Act, 1908, and amendments thereof respectively.
I HEREBY give notice that on the 18th day of October, 1916,
a proposal was submitted by the Tauranga Borough Council
to the ratepayers of the Borough of Tauranga for raising a
special loan of £4,600 for the purpose of repaying to the
District Fund Account moneys expended on the electric light
and power installations, and paying other liabilities in con-
nection therewith; and that the number of votes recorded
respectively for and against the proposal was as follows:
For, 175; against, 68.
And I declare the said proposal to be carried.
