And whereas the Government road described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of a road :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped: 37 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Crown land, Block II, Tangitu Survey District (Taranaki R.D.).

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41104, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Sheriff’s District abolished and redefined.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Judicature Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in that behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish as from the first day of December next the Sheriff’s district of Central Westland, as the same was described by a Warrant dated the sixth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, and published in the Gazette of the seventh day of January, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five; and, in further exercise of the said powers and authorities, I do hereby alter and redefine the boundaries of the Sheriff’s district of Westland, and do proclaim and declare that the same shall from and after the first day of December next be those described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

SHERIFF’S DISTRICT OF WESTLAND.

ALL that area bounded towards the north by the Sheriff’s district of Westland North as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 7th January, 1875, page 17, from the sea to the summit of Mount Franklin; thence towards the east and south-east generally by a right line to the summit of Mount Princess, a right line thence to Harper’s Pass, and a line along the summit of the Southern Alps to Mount Aspiring; thence towards the south-west by a right line to the north-eastern point of Big Bay near the mouth of the Awarua River; and thence towards the north-west generally by the sea to the south-western corner of the Sheriff’s district of Westland North, the place of commencement.

Withdrawing Land from the Operation of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this thirtieth day of October, 1916.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section forty-six of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Governor may, by Order in Council gazetted, on the recommendation of the Land Board, declare that any land comprised in a kauri-gum reserve shall, from a date to be specified in the Order, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908; and on and after the date so specified the land to which the Order relates shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908:

And whereas the Land Board of the Auckland Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that parts of the Opoe Kauri-gum Reserve and Opoe Kauri-gum Reserve Extension No. 2, described in the Schedule hereto, be excepted from the operations of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section forty-six of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the parts of the Opoe Kauri-gum Reserve and Opoe Kauri-gum Reserve Extension No. 2, described in the Schedule hereto, shall, from the second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in Block V, Opoe Survey District, being part of the Opoe Kauri-gum Reserve, set apart by Order in Council dated 20th December, 1898, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 93, of the 21st December, 1898, and part of Opoe Kauri-gum Reserve Extension No. 2, set apart by Order in Council dated 10th July, 1899, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 60, of the 13th July, 1899, and containing by admeasurement 102 acres 2 roods, more or less, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the southernmost corner of Section 9, Block V, Opoe Survey District; towards the south generally by right lines bearing 229°, 687 links, and 267° 3′, 2559·3 links; towards the west generally by right lines bearing 347°, 582·3 links, 322° 20′, 1865·5 links, 31° 9′, 1257·9 links, 12° 22′, 1340 links, 261° 50′, 548·2 links, 28° 14′, 1306·5 links, and 74° 53′, 127·2 links; and towards the north-east generally by a road along the shore of Lake Waiparera and by Section 9 aforesaid, 1342·9, 569·2, 857·1, 593, 421, 1022·5, 372·9, and 2232·2 links to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on plan marked L. and S. 26/309, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

At the Government House at Wellington, this thirtieth day of October, 1916.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the third day of October following, a regulation was made providing that no person shall take or catch more than twenty trout or more than thirty pounds weight of trout in any one day in the Waimarino Acclimatization District:

And whereas it is desirable to amend the said regulation in the manner hereinafter described:
