COUNTY OF WAITEMATA.
MOTOR REGULATION ACT, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council decided, by resolution at a meeting held on the 13th day of October, 1916, at the County Office, Auckland, that Part II of the Motor Regulation Act, 1908, shall be brought into operation within the limits of the County of Waitemata on the 15th day of November, 1916.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO RAISE A LOAN.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Otorohanga-Hangatiki-Te Kuiti Drainage Special-rating Area taken on the 14th day of October, 1916, on the proposal of the Waitomo County Council to borrow the sum of £3,000 for clearing willows, rubbish, &c., in and straightening parts of the present channel of the Mangapu, Mangamutu, Mangarapa, and Mangaokewa Streams, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 51, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 0.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE Partnership hitherto subsisting between the undersigned HENRY GILBERT VICTOR GREEN and ALEXANDER THOMAS FRASER, trading as “Fraser & Green,” Shirt and Blouse Manufacturers, at National Buildings, Rattray Street, Dunedin, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen. The business will be carried on by the said ALEXANDER THOMAS FRASER, who will pay all liabilities of and receive all debts owing to the firm.

SCHLAADT (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given that an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company was held in the office of David Cooke, 90 Princes Street, Dunedin, on Wednesday, the seventh day of June, 1916, at which the following extraordinary resolutions were passed:—
(1.) That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same.
(2.) That HENRY SCHLAADT and DAVID COOKE be appointed Liquidators for the said winding-up.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, WILLIAM MCALPINE DUNCAN, of Wanganui, and THOMAS CHOLMONDELEY SANDERSON, of Glenross, near Hastings, in the business of Sheep-farmers and Graziers, as carried on by them on Glenross Station under the style or firm of “Duncan & Sanderson,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 30th day of June last.
All moneys owing to the said firm will be received and all debts owing by the said firm will be paid by the said WILLIAM MCALPINE DUNCAN.

WAIRAU MAORI DRAINAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and its amendments, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913 (the Wairau Maori Drainage Board having, pursuant to the provisions of section 3 of the Land Drainage Amendment Act, 1913, obtained the consent of the Minister of Internal Affairs to the levying of the rate hereinafter set out on a uniform scale), the said Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eight hundred and fifty pounds (£850), authorized to be raised by the said Wairau Maori Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of banking Pukaka Drain and raising the Wairau River bank, the said Wairau Maori Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-eighths (7/8) of a penny in the pound sterling (upon the uniform scale) on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Wairau Maori Drainage District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first days of January and July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the said loan is fully paid off.

PICTON ROAD BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Picton Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the interest and other charges on a loan of five hundred pounds (£500), authorized to be raised by the said Picton Road Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of meeting the balance of the Board’s share of the cost of building a bridge over the Opawa River at the end of Grove Road, Blenheim, and making approaches thereto, such amount being the apportioned contribution payable by the Board under the Governor’s Warrant gazetted page 2110, Gazette, 1914, the said Picton Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fortieth (1/40) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Picton Road District. Such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WANGANUI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Wanganui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000), authorized to be raised by the Wanganui Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, to be called the Wanganui Borough Council Drainage Extension and Waterworks Loan of £25,000, for the following purposes, namely:—

Providing drainage in extension of existing drainage in the Borough of Wanganui, and providing new sewers, replacing old sewers, extending existing sewers, providing street sumps and drainage pipes, and laying drainage pipes in the streets of the borough, and all appliances, plant, and things necessary or convenient therefor: £11,500

Providing and laying water-mains in the streets of the said borough, and extending and replacing existing water-mains in the said streets, and providing all machinery, appliances, plant, apparatus, appurtenances, and things necessary or convenient therefor in connection with the present “waterworks” (as defined in section 229 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908) of the borough, and
