PURSUANT to section 10 of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at an election held at Rongotea for the purpose of electing a Trustee for the Oroua Drainage District, in place of Mr. J. W. Hamlin, resigned, the only person nominated as a candidate was Arthur William Duke. There being only one vacancy to be filled, and one candidate only nominated, I therefore declare the said ARTHUR WILLIAM DUKE to be duly elected a Trustee for the Oroua Drainage District.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A ROAD THROUGH PART OF ALLOTMENT 46, PARISH OF WAIKOMITI, BLOCK VII, TITIRANGI SURVEY DISTRICT.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and amendments thereto, by the Waitemata County Council, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the widening of a public road through part of Allotment 46 in the Parish of Waikomiti, Block VII, Titirangi Survey District; and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the said road and of the land required to be taken is deposited for public inspection at the office of the Waitemata County Council, Empire Buildings, Swan-son Street, Auckland; and notice is hereby also given that all persons affected by the execution of such public work or the taking of such land shall, if they have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, within forty days from the date hereof (being the first publication of this notice), to the County Council Office, Auckland.
