9TH (WELLINGTON EAST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant Henry Beresford Maunsell is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and absorbed into the establishment, with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 16th October, 1916.

NEW ZEALAND FIELD ARTILLERY.
The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) Percy Cecil Hurst is confirmed.

CORPS OF NEW ZEALAND ENGINEERS.
Mounted Signal Troops.
The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) Edwin Roland Guinness is confirmed.

4TH (OTAGO) REGIMENT.
2nd Lieutenant Harold Vernon Tregear is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and absorbed into the establishment. Dated 27th July, 1916.

5TH (WELLINGTON) REGIMENT.
Corporal Henry Samuel McDougall Sanson to be 2nd Lieutenant (supernumerary to establishment). Dated 20th September, 1916.

NEW ZEALAND FORCES MOTOR SERVICE CORPS.
The appointments of the undermentioned 2nd Lieutenants (on probation) are confirmed :

Captain John Patrick Daunt Leahy is granted the temporary rank of Major during the period of the war. Dated 6th October, 1916.
Captain Kenneth Edwin Tapper, M.B., is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and absorbed. Dated 21st October, 1916.
Lieutenant Stuart Scoular, M.B., Ch.M., N.Z., to be Captain while employed with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Dated 4th October, 1916.

NEW ZEALAND VETERINARY CORPS.
Lieutenant-Colonel Alexander Reid Young, M.R.C.V.S., is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and absorbed. Dated 28th August, 1916.

NEW ZEALAND CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.
The Reverend Robert Langlands Walker resigns his commission. Dated 25th September, 1916.

UNATTACHED LIST (b).
The notice published in New Zealand Gazette dated 20th April, 1916, relative to the resignation of Captain Thomas Carr, v.d., is cancelled.
Captain Thomas Carr, v.d., is posted to the Retired List, under provisions of paragraph 126, General Regulations, 1913, and is granted the honorary rank of Major, with permission to wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 16th March, 1916.
2nd Lieutenant David Te Rau Ngakau Lewis to be Lieutenant. Dated 18th September, 1916.
Sergeant-major Frederick J. Mackintosh is granted the honorary rank of Lieutenant while employed as Officer in Charge of Camp Records, Featherston. Dated 31st May, 1916.
