Census Enumerators appointed.

Wellington, 9th October, 1916.
HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the persons for the time being holding the offices mentioned in the Schedule attached to be Enumerators for the Census of 1916, under the Census and Statistics Act, 1910, and to define that the district for which each shall act be that portion of the Dominion comprised in the counties specified opposite the name of his office, together with adjacent islands.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of City of Auckland.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 11th October, 1916.
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, it is hereby notified that a petition, in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, being the Epsom Road District in the County of Eden, has been presented to His Excellency the Governor, praying that the said area may be excluded from the said county and included in the City of Auckland. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF AUCKLAND.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by the Borough of Newmarket from the junction of Boston Road with Kyber Pass Road to Epsom Road; thence towards the east generally by the western side of Epsom Road to the south-eastern corner of Allotment 35 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland; thence towards the south generally by the southern boundary of that allotment and its production across the road forming the eastern boundary of Allotment 58 of Section 10 aforesaid; thence by the western side of that road to Selwyn Place, by the northern side of the said Selwyn Place to School Road, by the eastern side of School Road to a point in line with the northern side of the road forming the northern boundary of Allotment 79 of Section 10 aforesaid; and thence by the northern side of that road to the boundary of the Borough of Mount Eden; thence towards the west generally by that borough, as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 9th August, 1906, page 2132, to Boston Road, and by the eastern side of that road to Kyber Pass Road, the place of commencement.
