Time for taking Census.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Census and Statistics Act, 1910, it is,
among other things, provided that an account shall
be taken in the year one thousand nine hundred and eleven,
and in every fifth year thereafter, of the number and con-
ditions of persons, and of the live-stock, and of the land in
cultivation within New Zealand, and of other particulars
relating thereto: And whereas by the said Act it is enacted
that such account shall be taken by Proclamation:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in me
vested by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that
such account shall be taken in the month of October, one
thousand nine hundred and sixteen, on Monday, the sixteenth
day of the said month, and for the night of Sunday, the
fifteenth day of the said month.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zea-
land and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Govern-
ment House at Wellington, this nth day of
October, in the year of our Lord one thousand
nine hundred and sixteen.

Declaring Roads adjoining Land in the Waari Hamlet, Auckland
Land District, to be closed.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power conferred by
section eleven of the Reserves and other Lands Dis-
posa and Public Bodies' Empowering Act, 1916, I, Arthur
William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the
roads described in the Schedule hereto to be closed.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 2 acres 0 roods 15 perches, more or less,
being portion of a road in Waari Hamlet, Block II, Titirangi
Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a
public road, 171.8 links; towards the south-east generally
by Section 75, Waari Hamlet, and by a public road, 151.4,
178.7, 292.3, 256.3, 309.9, 268.1, and 118.7 links; towards
the south-west by the Auckland-Kaipara Railway, 145 links;
towards the west generally by the Oratia Stream and by a road
reserve, 25 and 285.8 links, along the said stream.
Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more
or less, being portion of a road in Waari Hamlet. Bounded
towards the north-east by a public road, 105 and 173.7 links ;
towards the east generally by Sections 92 and 91, Waari
Hamlet, 541.3, 947.8, and 566.5 links; towards the south-
east by a road reserve, 84 links; and towards the west
generally by the Oratia Stream : be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less.
As the same are delineated on plan marked L. and
S. 2/34, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.

Crown Lands set apart for Disposal by Way of Sale or Lease
to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Auck-
land Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement
Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas of Crown land
described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are
hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of
sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in
the manner provided in the said Act.

Survey District, Southland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of
the owners and mortgagee of the land described in the
Schedule hereto, and of the Lake County Council, being the
local authority in whose district the said land is situated,
proclaim as a road the land described in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road:
1 acre 1 rood 8 perches.
Portion of Section 1, Block XV, Mid Wakatipu Survey
District.
In the Southland Land District; as the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/378,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
