Change of Name of Locality and Bay, “German Bay” to
“Takamatua.”

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Board of the Road District of Akaroa-
Wainui has, by resolution adopted at an ordinary
meeting thereof, requested that the name of the locality
situated in the Road District of Akaroa-Wainui and known
as “German Bay” be altered to “Takamatua” :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred on me by the Designation of
Districts Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the name
of the locality now known as “German Bay” shall be and
the same is hereby altered to “Takamatua,” and do assign
the last-mentioned name to such locality accordingly; and
also do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the
bay now known as “German Bay” shall be and the same
is hereby altered to “Takamatua Bay,” and do assign the
last-mentioned name to such bay accordingly; and also do
hereby proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the first day of November, one thousand
nine hundred and sixteen, not being earlier than six months
after the first publication thereof in the Gazette.

Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile.
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand
and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this seventh day of
April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine
hundred and sixteen.

Land set apart for Selection.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section sixty-three of the Land Laws
Amendment Act, 1913, it is, amongst other things,
enacted that in no case shall any moneys be expended
under the provisions of the said section sixty-three in connection with any block of land, unless that block is set apart
for selection under that section pursuant to Proclamation
in that behalf :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the aforesaid Act, I, Arthur William de Brito
Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land described in the
Schedule hereto as set apart for selection.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Aongatete Block (National Endowment).
Sections 6 to 11 (inclusive), Block I, Aongatete Survey
District, and Sections 66, 73, and 76, Te Mania Parish :
Area, 2,913 acres.

As the same is delineated upon the plan marked L. and
S. 5/85, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand
