the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Thomas Glendining and Herbert Edward Wilson, of Dunedin, be and they are hereby appointed Liquidators for the purpose of such winding-up; and
2. That the said Liquidators be and they are hereby authorized to consent to the registration of a new company, to be named the Olrig Dredging Company (Limited), with a Memorandum and Articles of Association which have already been prepared and approved of by the Directors of this company; and
3. That the draft agreement submitted to this meeting, and intended to be made between this company and its Liquidators, of the one part, and John Barnet Brugh, of Dunedin, on behalf of the company proposed to be registered under the name of the Olrig Dredging Company (Limited), of the other part, be and the same is hereby approved; and that the said Liquidators be and they are hereby authorized, pursuant to section 259 of the Companies Act, 1908, to enter into the said agreement, and to carry the same into effect with such (if any) modifications as they think expedient.

OHINEMURI COUNTY.
ORCHARD (NGATEA) SPECIAL-RATING DISTRICT.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council held in the Council Chambers, Paeroa, on Thursday, the 7th day of September, 1916, the following resolution was passed:—
"That, in pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, and the regulations thereunder, the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ohinemuri hereby resolve as follows,—
"That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of the principal and interest and other charges on a loan of three hundred and seventy-five pounds (£375), authorized to be raised by the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ohinemuri, under the above-mentioned Acts, for its share of the cost of construction of the Orchard (Ngatea) Bridge, the said Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Ohinemuri hereby make and levy a special rate of one penny in the pound (1d. in £) upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of the Orchard (Ngatea) Special-rating Area, the boundaries of which special-rating district are as follows—commencing at a point in the Pouarua Road where it intersects the northern boundary-line dividing the Ohinemuri and Thames Counties, thence along the said boundary-line in an easterly direction to a point in the Kerepeehi Main Road which is intersected by the said boundary-line, thence southerly along the western side of the said road to where it junctions with the Kerepeehi–Turua Road until it meets the Piako River, thence following the left bank of the said Piako River in a southerly direction to a point in the said river approximately thirty-two chains south of the head of the Waikaka Canal, thence towards the north-west by a straight line to the Pouarua Road aforesaid, thence along the said road to the point of commencement.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that the cost of raising the loan shall be paid out of the loan, also the first year's instalment of interest."

RIMU MINERS' WATER-RACE COMPANY (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Rimu Miners' Water-race Company (Limited) duly convened and held at the company's office in Rimu on the 23rd August, 1916, the subjoined special resolutions were duly passed; and at a subsequent special meeting of the said company duly convened for the purpose and held at the same place on the 13th September, 1916, the said subjoined resolutions were duly confirmed as special resolutions:—

That this meeting of shareholders of the Rimu Miners' Water-race Company (Limited) do hereby agree and determine to go into voluntary liquidation and wind up the affairs of the said company.

That Arthur Clifton, of Rimu, Miner, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such voluntary winding-up.

OROUA DRAINAGE BOARD.
URSUANT to section 10 of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at an election held at Rongotea for the purpose of electing a Trustee for the Oroua Drainage District, in place of Mr. B. Gray, who has ceased to hold the office of Trustee, the only person nominated as a candidate was Charles Watkins.
There being only one vacancy to be filled, and one candidate only nominated, I therefore declare the said Charles Watkins to be duly elected a Trustee for the Oroua Drainage District.

BOROUGH OF TE KUITI.
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1913, and the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.
I HEREBY give public notice that at a poll of ratepayers included in the special-rating area of the Te Kuiti 2B Flat, and Blocks 7, 8, 9, and 10, Te Kuiti Township, duly taken on Thursday, the 9th day of March, 1916, upon the proposal of the Te Kuiti Borough Council to raise a special loan of three thousand six hundred pounds (£3,600), under the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of—
(1.) Forming and draining Nettie Street, Manawaiti Street, Erold Street, William Street, Esplanade (from Ngaronga Street to William Street), Te Kuiti Road, Ngaronga Street, new street at back of Dr. Zobel's property;
(2.) Constructio of traffic-bridge over the Mangaokewa River at Sheridan Street;
(3.) Contingencies, engineering, first year's interest, flotation expenses, &c.,—
the voting upon such loan proposal was as follows: For the proposal, 30; against the proposal, 4.
And I hereby declare such loan proposal to be duly carried.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE IN RESPECT OF PORTIONS OF SPECIAL LOAN OF £37,300 AUTHORIZED BY POLL TAKEN ON THE 9TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1914, PASSED AT A MEETING OF THE INVERCARGILL BOROUGH COUNCIL HELD ON THE 14TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1916.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Invercargill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges on the following items of a loan of £37,300, authorized to be raised by the Invercargill Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act—namely, for the purchase of part of Section 19, Block III, Town of Invercargill, and extension of municipal buildings, £2,550; sprayer, £1,200; swimming-baths, £2,000; widening streets, £2,000; public conveniences, £1,200; reclamation works, £10,000; fire-alarms and fire-brigade machinery, £500; preliminary expenses and first year's interest, £1,850; making in all £21,300—the said Invercargill Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Invercargill, comprising the whole of the Borough of Invercargill; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period ending on the 31st day of December, 1938, or until the loan is fully paid off. The first instalment of such special rate to be for the period commencing on the 1st day of April, 1916, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1917, and to be payable on the 16th day of October, 1916.
