Notifying Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the twenty-seventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Notifying the Proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the Otago Land District for other Land.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-two of the Land Act, 1908, as amended by section seventeen of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive by way of equality of exchange any sum not exceeding twenty-five per centum of the estimated value of the Crown land so granted:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare that it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF CROWN LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 160 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being an area of Crown land in the Ohau River Survey District,
and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point 161° 44′ 40″, 3187·5 links, from the north-east corner of Pre-emptive Right “B” at the intersection of the north-east boundary of Pre-emptive Right “B” and the north-west side of a public road; thence towards the south-east by the aforesaid road 26° 55′, 3002·2 links; towards the north-east generally by a public road 296° 55′, 2916·4 links, 272° 7′, 779·8 links, 236° 38′, 462·1 links, 261° 7′, 1194·8 links; thence towards the north-west by a cemetery reserve 202° 41′, 290 links; thence towards the north-east by the aforesaid reserve 292° 41′, 344·8 links; thence towards the south-east by the aforesaid reserve 202° 41′, 290 links; thence towards the north-east generally by a public road 292° 41′, 5228·9 links, and 303° 47′, 630 links; thence towards the north-west by Crown land 192° 56′, 1694·2 links; thence towards the south-west generally by Crown land 117° 51′, 1407·9 links, 111° 9′, 1608·4 links, 95° 25′, 1335·7 links, 81° 44′, 338·6 links, 116° 2′, 1036·7 links, 104° 19′, 544·1 links, 119° 26′, 628 links, and 126° 17′, 372 links; towards the north-east by Pre-emptive Right “B” 341° 44′ 40″, 518·5 links; towards the south-east by the aforesaid Pre-emptive Right “B” 71° 44′ 40″, 2000 links; and towards the south-west by the aforesaid Pre-emptive Right “B” 161° 44′ 40″, 3192·5 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 40 acres, more or less, being section numbered 35216, Hopkins Survey District, situated on the north-western shore of Lake Ohau, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by Crown land, 1000 links; towards the north-east by Crown land 3267·5 links, by the crossing of a public road 118·2 links, and by Crown land 432·8 links; towards the south-east generally by a reserve along the shores of Lake Ohau, 1088·7 links; and towards the south-west by Crown land 162·5 links, by the crossing of a public road 118·2 links, and by Crown land 3899·3 links: excepting out of the above-described land a road-line 100 links wide, allowance for which has been made in the area.
Also all that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Pre-emptive Right “A,” Run 189, Ohau River Survey District, situated near the Ohau River, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Crown land, 1516·6 links; towards the south-east by Crown land, 758·3 links; towards the south-west by Crown land, 1516·6 links; and towards the north-west by Crown land, 758·3 links.
Also all that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Pre-emptive Right “A,” Run 3 of C, Ahuriri Survey District, situated on the Hen Burn, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Crown lands, 758·3 links; towards the south-east by Crown lands, 1516·6 links; towards the south-west by Crown land, 758·3 links; and towards north-west by Crown land, 1516·6 links.
Also all that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Pre-emptive Right “B,” Run 189, Ohau Lake Survey District, situated on the Quail Burn, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by Crown land, 1623 links; towards the north-east by Crown lands, the crossing of an unsurveyed public road, and by Crown lands, 811·5 links; towards the south-east by Crown land, 1623 links; and towards the south-west by Crown land, the crossing of an unsurveyed public road, and by Crown land, 811·5 links: and excepting out of the above-described land an unsurveyed public road 100 links wide, allowance for which has been made in the area.
Also all that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 3 roods 30 perches, more or less, being the south-east corner of Pre-emptive Right “B,” Run 3 of C, and situated in Ohau River Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west generally by the other part of Pre-emptive Right “B,” 136 links and 1826·2 links; towards the north-east by the crossing of a newly surveyed public road, 282 links, and by Crown land, 1125·5 links; towards the south-east by Crown land, 1132·6 links, and by the crossing of the aforesaid public road, 226 links; intersected by a public road which is included in the area: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less.
