NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolution was passed by the company on the 24th day of August, 1916, by an entry in its minute-book signed by all the members of the company :—

Resolved, by way of special resolution, —

  1. That this company, having disposed of its principal assets to Combined Buyers (Limited), be wound up voluntarily.

  2. That Mr. EDWARD STEPHENS be appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

THE Partnership hitherto subsisting between the undersigned, FRANCIS McKEOWN, GEORGE HENRY BOWDEN, and JOSEPH LEVY, trading under the name and style of “F. McKeown and Company,” Produce and Provision Merchants, at Dunedin, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st day of August, 1916.

The business will in future be carried on by FRANCIS McKEOWN, under the old firm-name, who will discharge all liabilities of the late Partnership, and to whom all moneys owing thereto are payable.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned, JOHN CADDEN McKENZIE and JAMES HARPER, under the style of “McKenzie & Harper,” Butchers, Invercargill, has been dissolved as from the 31st day of August, 1916, by mutual consent. The business will in future be carried on by the said JOHN CADDEN McKENZIE on his own account. All debts owing by the said firm will be paid by Messrs. LEARY, CUTHBERTSON, & WEBB, Accountants, Invercargill, to whom all moneys owing to the said firm must be paid.

RESOLUTION.

THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Auckland Racing Club at a meeting held on the seventh day of August, 1916, at Auckland, with a recommendation by the Chairman of the Club, the Hon. E. Mitchelson, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by the Governor, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.

The Hon. E. Mitchelson, the Chairman of the Club and the meeting, moved, and Mr. Murdoch McLean seconded, and it was resolved, that such regulations should be adopted, and that the Chairman be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.

The following are the regulations referred to :—

AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)

In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Auckland Racing Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the club’s property situate in the City of Auckland and the Town District of Ellerslie, and known as the Ellerslie Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

  1. In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

  2. The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely :—

(a.) Bookmakers.

(b.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the Racing Conference of New Zealand.

(c.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.

The foregoing regulations of the club were made and passed by the club on the seventh day of August, 1916, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between the undersigned as General Farmers and Breeders of Stock and otherwise, under the style or name of “David Buick & Son,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as and from the 15th day of May, 1916. Mr. DAVID BUICK, the Elder, will collect all moneys due to and discharge all liabilities of the said firm.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately existing between us, in which we carried on the business of Bakers and Confectioners at Manakau Road, Epsom, near the City of Auckland, under the style of “Brookbanks & Mackie,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the fifteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and as from that date the said business has been and will be carried on by WILLIAM ARNOLD MACKIE alone. All debts owing by the late firm will be paid by the said WILLIAM ARNOLD MACKIE, and all debts owing to the late firm are to be paid to him.
