MILITARY SERVICE ACT, 1916.

ENROLMENT OF EXPEDITIONARY FORCE RESERVE.

BY Proclamations dated respectively 1st and 2nd September, 1916, the enrolment of the Reserve is directed. The Reserve consists of men not less than twenty and under forty-six years of age.

The Reserve Register is based on the National Register.

WHAT MEN MUST DO :—

MEN ALREADY REGISTERED—
(1.) Must notify any change of address.
(2.) Must apply on form provided for certificate of enrolment.

MEN NOT ENROLLED—
(1.) Must fill in an enrolment-card.
(2.) Must apply on form provided for a certificate of enrolment.

This must be done before Saturday, 16th September.

Call at nearest Post-office for forms, information, and assistance.

Onus of proof in every case is on the Defendant.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before the 30th September, 1916, to send in their names and addresses, and the particulars of their debts or claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors (if any) to the Liquidators; and, if so required by notice in writing from the said Liquidator, are by their solicitors or personally to come in and prove their debts or claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE IN CONNECTION WITH THE AHOROA LOAN OF £3,330.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, and all other Acts in that behalf enabling it, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of £3,330, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purpose—reforming, culverting, and metalling about ten miles of the Ahoroa Road—the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny halfpenny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within the Ahoroa Special-rating Area; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Waitomo County Council held on 15th March, 1915.

Commencing at the southern corner of section of Te Kuiti 2B No. 11 joining Te Kuiti Township; thence along the Mangaokewa Stream in a south-easterly direction to the north-east corner of Section 1, Block VIII, Otauke; thence along the eastern boundary of the said section to the north-west corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua 68B; thence along the north and eastern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua 68B to the south-west corner of Section Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 680; thence along the southern boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua 680, Rangitoto-Tuhua 26F No. 2A, the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua 35H No. 2 to the north-west corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 25 No. 5B; thence along the northern boundary of the said section to the Waipa River; thence along the Waipa River in a northerly direction to the south-east corner of Rangitoto-Tuhua 35G 2; thence along the southern boundary of the said section and portion of the western boundary of Section Rangitoto-Tuhua 35G 2 to a point separating Section Rangitoto-Tuhua 26F No. 2C from Sections Rangitoto-Tuhua 26F 2D Section 1 and 2; thence in a westerly direction through Sections Rangitoto-Tuhua 26F 2, Rangitoto-Tuhua 68A, Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 70, Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 64, to the north-east corner of Te Kuiti 2B No. 4; thence along the northern boundary of Te Kuiti 2B No. 4, Te Kuiti 2B No. 5, Te Kuiti 2B No. 6, Te Kuiti 2B No. 12B, and the eastern boundary of Te Kuiti 2B No. 11 to a point cutting the said Te Kuiti 2B No. 11 in half, following an imaginary line to its western boundary; thence along the western boundary of the said section to the starting-point.
