WAIROA ROAD BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, the Wairoa Road Board resolves:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £440, authorized to be raised by the Wairoa Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of construction of a bridge over the Kohi Stream, together with engineering charges and contingencies, the Wairoa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-fifth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of the Wairoa Road Board District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Wairoa Road Board was affixed hereto by resolution of the Board at a special meeting thereof held this 8th day of September, 1916, in the presence of—

PHARMACY BOARD OF NEW ZEALAND.

ELECTION OF TWO MEMBERS FOR THE CENTRAL DISTRICT.

To be elected by the registered Pharmaceutical Chemists residing within the District of Wellington, the boundaries of which are those of the Provincial Districts of Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, Nelson, and Marlborough.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is my intention to proceed on Friday, the 13th day of October, 1916, to the election of two registered Pharmaceutical Chemists of New Zealand to serve as members of the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand, in the places of ARTHUR HOBSON and WILLIAM STEWART WALLACE, who retire on the 31st day of December, 1916, and are eligible for re-election.

All candidates must be nominated in the manner provided by regulation on or before Friday, the 29th day of September, 1916, at 4 p.m. Nominations will be received by the Registrar at his office in Featherston Street, Wellington, where forms are obtainable.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between the undersigned CHARLES HAROLD KELSEY and KENNETH RAYMOND KELSEY, of Wairamarama, in the Provincial District of Auckland, Farmers, under the name of “Kelsey Brothers,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the first of September instant.

All moneys owing to the firm are to be paid to the said KENNETH RAYMOND KELSEY, who will continue the business of the Partnership and will discharge its liabilities.

DARGAVILLE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION PASSED AT A SPECIAL MEETING HELD IN THE BOROUGH COUNCIL CHAMBERS ON TUESDAY, MAY 16TH, 1916, AT 7.30 P.M.

Resolution striking Rate for meeting Charges of £8,000 Loan for Completion of Waterworks Scheme.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Dargaville Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,000, authorized to be raised by the Dargaville Borough Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the completion of the inauguration and construction of a gravitation water-supply scheme for the borough, and the engineering charges in connection therewith, the said Dargaville Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Dargaville; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of September and the first day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the above is a true copy of the resolution passed.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between AUSTIN YARNDEY and W. E. LLOYD, under the style or firm of “Yarndley & Co.,” as Land Agents, and carried on at Tuhoro Street, Otorohanga, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 8th day of September, 1916. The business will be in future carried on by the said AUSTIN YARNDEY, who will receive all accounts due to the late firm and discharge all the liabilities of the late firm.

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waimarino County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, authorized to be raised by the ratepayers of the Ohakune-Waiouru Special-rating Area, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of trimming, forming, and metalling the Ohakune-Waiouru Road from the end of the present metal southwards, the said Waimarino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and five-eighths (1⅝) of a penny in the pound sterling on the (unimproved) rateable value of all rateable property of the Ohakune-Waiouru Special-rating Area, comprising all the properties situated within the following boundaries:—

Commencing at a point where the Mangaehuehu Stream joins the North Island Main Trunk Railway line; thence south by the said Mangaehuehu Stream to the south side of the Ohakune-Waiouru Road; thence generally north-west by the said Ohakune-Waiouru Road to the south-east boundary of Section 26, Block V, Karioi S.D.; thence south by the west boundary of Section 31, Block V, Karioi S.D., to the north
