Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION No. 52.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Tutuwhinau No. 3 Block is summoned and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Whareponga on Thursday, the 26th day of October, 1916, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:

"That the Tutuwhinau No. 3 Block be leased to Tuta Ngarimu, of Whareponga, farmer, for twenty-one years at yearly rental equal to 5 per centum of the Government valuation of the said land, together with a right to a renewal for a further twenty-one years at yearly rental equal to 5 per centum of the then Government unimproved valuation of the said land, or with the right to compensation for improvements in the event of the renewal not being taken."

Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION No. 52.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Wharekahika No. 1 & 4 is summoned and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Tikitiki on Saturday, the 7th day of October, 1916, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:

"That the said Wharekahika No. 1 & 4 Block be leased to Whaaka Parakau and Wiremu te Whare, of Hick's Bay, sheep-farmers, for a term of twenty-one years at a rental not less than 5 per centum per annum of the present Government valuation of the said land, together with the right to a renewal for a further term of twenty-one years at an annual rental equal to 5 per centum of the then unimproved Government valuation of the said land, or with the right to compensation for improvements should the lease be not renewed."

Locality to be fixed at the meeting.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Tokata No. 4 Block is summoned and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Tikitiki on Saturday, the 7th day of October, 1916, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:

"That the Tokata No. 4 Block be leased to Arthur William Henderson for a term of twenty-one years at a rental equivalent to the Government valuation (unimproved), with a right to a renewal for a further term of twenty-one years at a rental of the then Government valuation, or with the right to compensation at the end of the first term of twenty-one years."

REGULATION No. 52.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Tokata No. 3 Block is summoned and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Tikitiki on Saturday, the 7th day of October, 1916, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:

"That the said Tokata No. 3 Block be leased to Henare Ahuriri, of Wharekahika, farmer, for a term of twenty-one years at a yearly rental equal to 5 per centum of the present Government valuation of the said land, together with a right of renewal for a further term of twenty-one years at a yearly

rental equal to 5 per centum on the then Government unimproved valuation of the said land, or with the right to compensation for improvements should the lease be not renewed." Dated at Gisborne this 9th day of September, 1916.

Notice of Meeting of Owners under Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909.

REGULATION No. 52.

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Marangairoa 1c 2 Block is summoned and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Tikitiki on Saturday, the 7th day of October, 1916, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:

"That the Marangairoa 1c 2 Block be leased for twenty-one years to Arihia Ngakohu, of Horoera, at a rental equal to 5 per centum on the present Government unimproved valuation of the land, with the right of renewal for a further term of twenty-one years at a rental equal to 5 per centum on the then unimproved value of the land; with the right to compensation for improvements in the event of renewal not being taken."

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Tikapa-o-Hinekopeka No. 1 Block is summoned and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Tikitiki on Saturday, the 7th day of October, 1916, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:

"That a lease of the said Tikapa-o-Hinekopeka No. 1 Block be given to Materoa Haenga, of Waipu, settler, for a term of twenty-one years at a rental not less than 5 per centum per annum of the present valuation of the said land, together with the right to a renewal for a term of twenty-one years at a rental equal to 5 per centum per annum of the then unimproved valuation of the land, or with the right to compensation for improvements."

THE Maori Land Board for the Tairawhiti Maori Land District hereby notifies that a meeting of the owners of Opoho 3c 2 Block is summoned and will be held, in pursuance of Part XVIII of the Native Land Act, 1909, at Nuhaka on Wednesday, the 18th day of October, 1916, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering the following proposed resolution:

"That the Opoho 3c 2 Block be sold to Mary Vaughan, wife of Fred Vaughan, of Wairoa, sheep-farmer, at the Government valuation of the land."

"That a lease of the Tawapata North No. 2 Block, Subdivision 4, be granted to Ihaka Maihi Whaanga and Epanaia Whaanga, both of Nuhaka, aboriginal Natives, for the term
